Kentucky Volleyball Player Hudson To Join This Team After College Career
The official Instagram page of LOVB Atlanta announced Hudson’s decision to join their team to their followers through a descriptive post highlighting her achievements during her collegiate career:
“Welcome to the A, Eva Hudson! We’re excited to add to our roster, the 2025 National Finalist for Kentucky, @evahud12. Eva is a 6’1” outside from Ft. Wayne, Ind. Her incredible career is continuing in ATL, after a dominant 2025 Season with @kentuckyvolleyball, where she earned SEC Player of the Year, First-Team All-American honors, and led the Wildcats to the NCAA Finals match. The A just leveled up ⬆️ 💞 Let’s give Eva a warm welcome!”
Hudson had joined the Purdue Boilermakers team in the 2022 season but transferred to the Wildcats for her senior year in the 2025-26 season. She initially represented the Purdue Boilermakers from 2022 to 2024. The outside hitter was rewarded the Big Ten Freshman of the Year Award in her inaugural season, and was also included in the AVCA All-America squad in the 2023 season.
Hudson generated a total of 1642 kills in her tenure with the Boilermakers, with a strike rate of 4.502 kills per set on average. She also recorded a total of 792 digs with a strike rate of 2.174 digs per set before transferring to the Wildcats for her final year.
Hudson transformed the team with her brilliant skills as the Wildcats won their first postseason SEC Volleyball Championships since 1988. The tournament had been discontinued in 2005 and had been revived recently. Hudson also generated an impressive total of 546 kills and 280 digs overall in her only season for the Wildcats, with her career-best performance coming during the semifinals of the 2025 NCAA Championships.
Hudson generated a mind-boggling total of 29 kills as the Wildcats defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 3-2 to qualify for the finals of the NCAA Championships after five years. Unfortunately, the Wildcats couldn’t repeat the historic performance of the 2020 edition and lost 0-3 to the Texas A&M Aggies, who eventually went on to win their maiden NCAA title.
