Dani Busboom Kelly Credits Teamwork for the Unbeaten Streak
During the pre-match press conference, Busboom Kelly was asked multiple questions about the performance of the Nebraska Volleyball team. She was also asked how she felt about receiving the Big Ten Coach of the Year Award.
The head coach highlighted that it’s not an individual award by any means. In her words,
“Yeah, I mean it means a ton, and you know obviously it’s not an individual award. I know it says it is, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it is this year.” [2:30 onwards]
Kelly also highlighted the impact of the previous head coach, John Cook, who had retired last year. The current head coach of the Nebraska Volleyball team further added,
“So, with the staff and the job they’ve done and um you know, John leaving a great team and at a time when he knew that we could be really successful, it just it means a lot.”
