Simone Biles lit up social media with her latest photoshoot, drawing a wave of praise from stars like Coco Gauff and Joscelyn Roberson. Since her last dazzling performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles has embraced a new chapter, cheering on her husband Jonathan Owens at Chicago Bears games and settling into a new Houston home with him.
With Biles taking a break, gymnasts like Roberson and Leanne Wong rose to the occasion at the World Gymnastics Championships in Jakarta, powering Team USA to an impressive second place in the medal standings.

Biles shares a close relationship with Roberson, sending her an encouraging text message ahead of her vault event at the World Championships. Roberson, who was struggling with back pain and confidence issues, appreciated the support and credited it for helping her perform better.
Biles also shares a close friendship with Gauff, attending her matches, and Gauff says Biles has a calming presence. In an Instagram post, the gymnast shared a few black-and-white images of herself, captioning it: “HER.”

Biles is yet to confirm whether she will be preparing for a return to elite gymnastics ahead of the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
However, she said she will be present at the Games in some capacity, whether on or off the mat.
Biles Opens Up on Taking Personal Time
Biles is regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, winning 11 Olympic medals (7 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze) and 30 World Championship medals (23 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze) across her career. At the Paris Games, she added 3 golds (team, all-around, vault) and 1 silver (floor), tying for the second-most Olympic medals by a female gymnast.
In an interview with Olympics.com published in August last year, Biles spoke about how she set aside personal time during her time competing in gymnastics, saying:
“We were always really big on Sunday dinner and all this stuff. I just didn’t have that much energy to give… I wanted to give all the energy into the gym. If you ask [coaches] Cécile and Laurent [Landi], they would definitely be like, ‘We saw her set so many boundaries and that was in her personal life.’
Biles explained that she draws clear lines at home to protect her downtime, choosing to skip extra gym hours in favor of lunch dates with friends that help her recharge emotionally.
