Bergen Reilly is excited for Nebraska Volleyball’s return to action for the new season. The Huskers will face Iowa State in their hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to kick off the new spring season in April.
The Huskers are coming off a dominant 2025 season that ended in heartbreak with a shock loss to Texas A&M in the NCAA Regional Final. Despite that, Nebraska Volleyball remained undefeated in the Big Ten Championship and triumphed with a 20-0 record.
Bergen Reilly Looks Forward to Nebraska Volleyball’s Return
Details have now been released on Nebraska Volleyball’s 2026 spring season schedule. The Huskers will face Iowa State on April 11, with the match set to start at 1 p.m. local time.
The match will take place at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This will be one of two spring matches that the Huskers play in the state.
Reilly, who hails from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will enjoy a homecoming as the Huskers make the trip for this exhibition match. The Nebraska Volleyball setter shared her excitement about the match with a post on her Instagram story.

“Coming home,” she wrote on her Instagram story with the hugging face emoji.
Reilly is one of the key players for Nebraska Volleyball and will be going into her senior year this season. She will have her sights set on leading the Huskers to the NCAA title that has eluded the team since 2017.
The Huskers came close in 2023, finishing as the runner-up. They were then eliminated in the semifinals in 2024.
Reilly Opens Up on Nebraska Volleyball’s Mindset After Early End to 2025 Season
While Nebraska Volleyball failed to meet its lofty ambitions during the 2025 season, co-captain Reilly believes that the team can use that as motivation for the next year. In a recent interview, she shared that the Huskers will use that defeat to Texas A&M as motivation and play with a chip on their shoulders next year.
“I mean, it’s all the motivation you need. Looking back on the last three years, it’s not how we wanted it to end and, but I’m really proud of just our team, and how we’ve come back this year, and you can tell everybody has a chip on their shoulder, just in the way we’re lifting and practicing and doing everything with so much intentions and so it’ll be fun to see in the fall,” she said to Hurrdat Sports.
The 2026 NCAA volleyball season will get underway in August. Nebraska Volleyball will no doubt be one of the teams to beat, and it will be interesting to see if Dani Busboom Kelly can end the Huskers’ almost decade-long wait for an NCAA title.
