At one point, free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was perceived to be the next big thing at the position and a surefire future Hall of Famer.
His career didn’t blossom as he had hoped, and since being drafted with the No. 12 overall pick by the New York Giants in 2014, Beckham has played for five teams. A sixth could be on the horizon for the 33-year-old.
Odell Beckham Jr. Back on NFL Radar Following Impressive Weekend Performance
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Beckham appears to have placed himself back on the radar for several NFL teams looking to bolster their pass-catching corps. Schultz notes that Beckham “fully intends” to play in 2026, but it is simply a matter of who will be willing to take a swing on the former three-time Pro Bowler.

The sudden interest stems from Beckham’s participation in Tom Brady’s Fanatics Flag Football Classic over the weekend. Beckham competed alongside several current and former NFL players and went viral for making an impressive, one-handed touchdown grab in the back of the end zone.
That is unsurprising, of course, considering Beckham thrust himself into the spotlight as a rookie for the “catch of the year” he made during a Sunday night game against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014.
If anything, Beckham showed he still has his hands, but it is worth noting that the game this past weekend was played with a football that was not NFL regulation size.
After playing the first five years of his career with the Giants, he was shipped to the Cleveland Browns in a blockbuster deal that took place in March 2019. Along with Beckham, defensive end Olivier Vernon was sent to Cleveland in exchange for safety Jabrill Peppers, offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler, and the Browns’ 2019 first- and third-round picks.
Beckham’s stint with the Browns lasted less than three seasons after he was released midway through the 2021 campaign. Days later, the Los Angeles Rams signed Beckham to a one-year deal, and he would go on to become an imperative piece of their offense en route to a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

He scored a touchdown in five of the eight regular-season games he played for the Rams, totaling 27 receptions for 305 yards and five touchdowns in that span.
He accounted for 21 receptions for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Rams’ four postseason contests, including a 17-yard score in the Super Bowl before sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The injury would keep him shelved for the entire following season.
Beckham has since spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins. He has not played in a game since being released by the Dolphins in December 2024.
Whether he can still keep up with the fast, young corners in today’s league remains to be seen, but teams will not know what Beckham is still capable of unless they bring him in for a workout.
