Odell Beckham Jr. has been on a rollercoaster ride since being drafted in 2014. After signing with the Miami Dolphins in 2024, he made nine catches for 55 yards across nine games before being released in December 2024. It was the final chapter of a nomadic journey through the NFL.
But recently, Beckham posted a curious story on Snapchat that has the football world buzzing. Is OBJ ready to bring the drama, the catches, and the cleats back to where it all began? With NFL training camps underway this week, veterans and rookies are locking in. And it looks like Beckham is too.
Is Odell Beckham Jr. Making a Comeback With the New York Giants?
The minute Beckham dropped his story on Snapchat, fans went crazy.
The story showed Beckham lacing up in a familiar blue helmet with the New York Giants’ iconic blue and red design, which had the number 13 on it.
Alongside photos of a solo training session, Beckham wrote, “Mannn it feels toooo good to lace up again. Loading….”

The moment feels poetic, considering the Giants drafted him in 2014. This was followed by one of the best rookie seasons the world has seen.
What Made Beckham’s Giants Debut So Special?
In November 2014, Beckham launched himself backward, reached up with just three fingers, and made one of the most incredible catches in NFL history. He did that while being pulled down by a defender.
The catch was so iconic that LeBron James even tweeted about it. “Man, I just witnessed the greatest catch ever possibly by Odell Beckham Jr! WOW!!!!,” wrote James.
Tony Dungy, Victor Cruz, and just about every football fan across America couldn’t believe what they’d witnessed. That catch put Beckham on everyone’s radar.

Beckham played with the Giants until 2019. On March 13, 2019, the Cleveland Browns acquired him. During his time with Cleveland, Beckham was good but not as dominant as when he started his career.
In his first season with the Browns, he made 1,035 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 74 receptions. However, injuries and chemistry issues with quarterback Baker Mayfield began to limit his impact.
How Did Beckham’s Career Journey Lead Back to This Moment?
In 2020, Beckham played just seven games before tearing his ACL, finishing with 319 yards and three touchdowns. By 2021, frustration set in, and there was even a saga involving his usage. This eventually led to the Browns releasing him mid-season.
Soon after, in November 2021, Beckham signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams. Despite his late arrival, he made an impact, playing eight regular-season games and recording 44 catches for 537 yards and five touchdowns.
He carried that momentum into the playoffs, scoring the first postseason touchdown of his career in the Wild Card round and putting up a 113-yard performance.
In Super Bowl LVI, Beckham opened the scoring with a 17-yard touchdown before leaving with a torn ACL in the second quarter. Following this, he moved teams again and joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.

With Baltimore, Beckham finished the 2023 season with 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns across 14 games before being released on March 13, 2024. His short stint with the Dolphins followed.
Now, with his social media tease, he’s eyeing a return to the team where he made the most impact. In just 12 games as a rookie with the Giants, Beckham made 91 receptions, 1,305 yards, and 12 touchdowns. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. By 2016, he had back-to-back Pro Bowl selections.
However, after injuries became a regular occurrence and off-field drama took hold, Beckham faded from being unstoppable. Still, he has never lacked skill. These recent photos of him suiting up in Giants gear are far from subtle. Beckham knows the Giants’ wide receiver room is in flux and how much New York loves a comeback story.
Whether or not the Giants actually pursue him is another story. But Beckham is doing what he does best: keeping himself relevant. And who knows, maybe another one-handed miracle moment is waiting to happen.
