Nick Wright Busts Viral Rumor Around Jalen Hurts’ Mom’s Confrontation at Super Bowl Party

Jalen Hurts has made a career out of being calm and composed in even the toughest of situations. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has maintained his stoic demeanor even in the face of criticism.

One of Hurts’ chief critics has been sports personality Nick Wright. Per the latest rumors, he was confronted by Hurts’ mother before the Super Bowl, but Wright has come forward to set the record straight.

Nick Wright Calls Out Falsifying of His Interaction With Jalen Hurts’ Mother

Wright originally stated that he met Hurts’ mother, Pamela Hurts, at a bar in New Orleans during Super Bowl 59 weekend. This was picked up by several pages on X, and media houses after the Philadelphia Eagles lifted the Lombardi Trophy.

“NEWS: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts mom had a confrontation and went off on Nick Wright at a Super Bowl party, ripping him for his takes on her son. For nearly 25 minutes Hurts mom defended her son… and ended the convo with: ‘I just want to know what you’re going to say when he wins,’” tweeted one of the pages.

However, Wright did not take kindly to this twisting of facts and replied to point the narrative in the correct direction.

“I never respond, but this is wildly unfair to Mrs. Hurts, and not at all what happened. She didn’t ‘confront’ me & she didn’t rip me. She was totally measured & fair & gracious. C’mon, y’all,” Wright tweeted in response.

What Was the Interaction Between Wright And Hurts’ Mother?

On Feb. 11, during ESPN’s broadcast of the “First Things First” show, Wright explained the entire incident that occurred between him and Hurts’ mom.

“Saturday night, the night before the Super Bowl, late,” Wright said. “Having a good time, I don’t work the next day, a few drinks like most people are.

“And a woman walks up to me and says, ‘I need to ask you one question. Why do you talk so bad about Jalen Hurts?’ I was like, ‘Well, I don’t think I talk bad,’ and she was not budging a bit. She’s like, ‘No, no, you do.’”

Wright then figured out that the woman could be Hurts’ mom after 5-6 minutes of their conversation. The entire panel couldn’t help but laugh, including Wright.

“She ended it with this, ‘I just want to know what you’re going to say when he wins tomorrow,’” he said.
