Nick Sirianni is now a Super Bowl-winning head coach, and last season’s success silenced the critics who once questioned him. He now has strong job security in Philadelphia, and the Eagles once again have the firepower to chase another championship run.
Amid the high-pressure environment of the NFL, Sirianni’s wife, Brett Ashley Cantwell, has been a constant presence in his corner. She’s supported the Eagles’ head coach through every peak and setback of his career.
Who Is Brett Ashley Cantwell?
Brett is a native of Springfield, Missouri, who stayed close to home throughout college before becoming a schoolteacher. Until she met Sirianni, Missouri was the only place she’d ever lived. She was raised by her parents, Brad and Debbie Cantwell, alongside her two sisters, Justine and Courtney.
It’s not a classic love-at-first-sight story. The duo lived in the same apartment complex in Kansas City, given their encounters weren’t ones to remember. Cantwell told Colts.com that Sirianni mentioned working with the Kansas City Chiefs a few times, but she didn’t care about that.
“When you first met me, you used the Chiefs card,” she likes to say to her husband.
“Hey, it worked!” Sirianni responded. “Whatever I needed to do to get my wife.”
“I didn’t remember him, but he remembered me,” Cantwell replied, adding that they ran into each other a few times. “He was like, ‘I work with the Chiefs.’ I didn’t care at all.”
Her sister Courtney loved Nick and convinced Brett to go out on a date with him. The couple became serious pretty quickly and became engaged a year later.
The couple married at the Schweitzer United Methodist Church in Missouri in June 2013. They quickly relocated to California when Nick was hired as the San Diego Chargers’ quality control coach. Later, the family moved again to Indianapolis after he earned a promotion to offensive coordinator with the Colts.
Cantwell Says Children Are Sirianni’s Biggest Supporters
Brett and Nick share three children — Jacob, Taylor, and Miles. She stepped away from teaching to become a full-time mom, a decision she has said she never regretted. As much as she enjoyed her career, supporting Nick and their family came first.
While Brett prefers life away from the spotlight, she fully backs her husband’s coaching journey. She has relocated to three different cities for his career and has built strong bonds with other NFL wives, who understand the unique challenges that come with life in the league.

“We’re all in the same situation. That’s what makes it easier, I think,” she told Colts.com in 2019. “There are so many other coaches’ wives that have kids, and that’s an instant connection right there.”
Cantwell remains the rock that holds the family together, ensuring that wherever Sirianni’s career takes them, home is always where they are together.
