Deion Sanders unknowingly found himself the target of a wild rant this week when former NFL defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko revealed an untold story, prompting a reaction from former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Josh Harris.
Josh Harris Defends Deion Sanders After Breiden Fehoko Recalls Awkward Encounter
During the latest episode of “The Fehoko Show” on Saturday, Fehoko opened up about his first encounter with Sanders when he was a high school senior.
Fehoko was participating in the Under Armor All-American Game in Orlando, Florida, where Coach Prime was involved. He said he had been a longtime fan of Sanders before that meeting and even owned his sneakers while growing up. However, his perception of Sanders changed after an interaction at the event.
Fehoko recalled approaching Coach Prime to ask for a photo and some advice, only for Sanders to respond, “Move along.”
However, Harris was surprised by Fehoko’s account and addressed it on X.
“I’ve known Prime since I was in high school, if he was with him family, he’s not taking pictures nor stopping to talk to anyone. But wait… y’all was at an all star game, where he’s a coach, and you’re tryna take photos and get advice in the hotel lobby?? Come on bro. lol,” Harris wrote.

Fehoko clarified that he has not held a grudge against Sanders, but the experience changed the way he viewed the NFL legend. He remarked that whenever he sees Coach Prime in the media sharing Bible verses or talking about doing good, he views those messages differently because of their past interaction.

However, Harris followed up with another post, arguing that Fehoko’s approach to Sanders may not have been appropriate under the circumstances.
“Gotta be socially aware, bro. If he take photos with you, now he gotta take photos with everyone. And you’re not stopping and asking Nick Saban or Kirby Smart for photos or life advice like that at an All-Star game. That ain’t [expletive] material,” Harris posted.

Fehoko was clearly disappointed by Sanders’ response years ago, but Coach Prime has developed a reputation for maintaining strict standards. His expectations extend beyond the football field and include rules for how players conduct themselves in the classroom.

Sanders has implemented a classroom dress code that prohibits players from wearing slides, hoodies, and headphones while attending class. He also enforced strict rules regarding recording devices during a public, media-open preseason practice on campus earlier this month.
Ultimately, Sanders seems determined to keep players focused on football and maintain the right mentality. He has frequently said that his role extends beyond coaching and that he wants to help shape the lives of young men both on and off the field.
Sanders’ own NFL career gives him considerable credibility when it comes to demanding excellence.
As a Pro Football Hall of Famer, he believes his demanding approach can push players toward greatness, and his development of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter has already provided a strong example of his coaching ability.
