‘I’m Not Worried At All’ — Zachary Bolduc’s Agent Downplays Concern Around Montreal Canadiens Winger Ahead of Playoffs

The Montreal Canadiens head into the final stretch of the regular season in a strong position, but recent lineup decisions involving Zachary Bolduc have sparked conversation around the team. As Montreal prepares for its final game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Bolduc’s agent has stepped forward to calm any growing concerns.

Agent Calms Worries Around Bolduc Before Canadiens’ Playoffs

After being a healthy scratch for two consecutive games, questions surfaced about Bolduc’s role. The 22-year-old winger had also gone seven games without registering a point, adding fuel to the debate. However, he responded quickly once back in the lineup.

In his return against the New York Islanders on Sunday, Bolduc delivered a strong performance, recording a goal and an assist in a 4-1 victory. The outing served as a reminder of his potential and reinforced the belief that the brief scratch was more about managing development than signaling concern. He now has 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists) in 77 games this season.

Bolduc’s agent, Pat Brisson, dismissed any worry surrounding the young forward. “He’s a power forward who’s got a hell of a shot and he could be physical. He is physical, tremendous knack for the net. He’s got great hockey IQ. He is a goal scorer. I am not worried at all for Zac Bolduc,” Brisson said.

He emphasized that Bolduc is still young at 22 and progressing in the right direction. He added that being scratched is part of the process for young players. “It’s part of the game. Sometimes he bounced back. They had a good game yesterday, and it’s a marathon. The process is important. But wow, do I believe in this one,” Brisson added.

Playoff Matchup Set for Montreal

While the conversation around Bolduc continues, the Canadiens’ focus is quickly shifting to the postseason. They have officially locked in their first-round opponent for the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. After the Buffalo Sabres clinched the Atlantic Division title on Monday night, the bracket in the East has solidified.

The Canadiens (106 points) will face the Tampa Bay Lightning (106 points) in the opening round. Because the Lightning hold the tiebreaker for 2nd place in the Atlantic, they will have home-ice advantage for the series.
