Hockey’s biggest stage is finally set. The Vegas Golden Knights and the Carolina Hurricanes meet in the 2026 Stanley Cup Final, the most compelling championship matchup the NHL could have drawn up.
Carolina was thoroughly dominant in the regular season, finishing 53-22-7 with 113 points, the best record in the Eastern Conference, and carried that form through the playoffs with a 12-1 run that is the most dominant postseason in recent memory.
Vegas swept the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Colorado Avalanche in four straight games to reach the Final for the third time in franchise history. The Golden Knights won the Cup in 2023 and are gunning for their second.
Leading all Stanley Cup Playoffs scorers with 21 points, Mitch Marner is the story of the postseason.
