The Panthers went 3-1-0 against the Maple Leafs in the regular season. However, both Toronto and Florida were dealing with injuries to key players during these matchups. Both teams’ last playoff matchup came in the second round in 2023. Florida won that series in five games on their way to the Stanley Cup finals.

“Playing against Toronto in Canada, it’s probably one of the best atmospheres to play in. Capital of hockey. It’s going to be a good challenge. They have a good team – good offense, defense, good goaltender,” Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky said.

Toronto has emerged as a strong contender to lift the Stanley Cup this season, winning the Atlantic Division championship and winning their second playoff series in over 20 years by beating the Ottawa Senators in the first round.

Bieber has not been shy in expressing his support for the Maple Leafs. He has also teamed up with the franchise for different events and charitable drives. One such collaboration occurred in 2022, when Bieber and his apparel brand Drew House teamed up with Adidas to design a reversible, Next Gen third jersey for the Maple Leafs.

“My love for the Maple Leafs has always been a big part of who I am, and my passion for the team, and the passion of millions of fans, is stitched into this Next Gen sweater,” Bieber said via NHL.com. “I’m grateful to the Leafs for the chance to team up again to create something so authentic for the team and its fans.”
