Brad Marchand’s Wife Drops Five-Word Message as Panthers Star Hits 1000-Point Milestone

Brad Marchand hit the 1,000-point milestone in a Florida Panthers win, and his wife Katrina celebrated it with a heartfelt message.

Brad Marchand has built a career on memorable moments, and the person who has been by his side through most of it is his wife, Katrina. The two have been together since 2010 and married in September 2015, forming a constant presence behind every step of his NHL journey.

Their bond often stays in the background, but it is naturally visible during special events. That connection surfaced again as the Florida Panthers forward celebrated one of hockey’s rare milestones.

What did Katrina Marchand say as Brad hit 1,000 NHL points?

Brad Marchand reached 1,000 NHL points in a 6-3 Florida Panthers win over the Washington Capitals on Thursday. He finished with two assists, including the primary helper on Eetu Luostarinen’s empty-net goal that sealed the game. The achievement made him the 102nd player in league history and the 12th active skater to hit that mark.

After the game, Marchand admitted he wanted the milestone to happen with his family in the building.

“I hoped it would be tonight, I had the family here,” he said, via NHL.com. He called it one of those rare experiences a player gets only a few times in a career, and the emotion behind it was evident.

The Panthers managed the night with confidence. Washington pressed early and again in the third period, but Florida answered each push. Marchand was involved throughout, moving the puck with intention and setting up the play that earned him a spot in the 1,000-point club.

Katrina marked the moment with a simple five-word message on Instagram: “1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ looks good on you.”

It captured her pride in a way that matched the moment. Her support has been visible for years, including in June when Marchand lifted the Stanley Cup again after years of near misses.

“Just recognition, we did it,” she said, calling the achievement “absolutely everything” for their family.

Marchand has carried strong form into the 2025-26 season. He has 20 points in 16 games and 11 goals, placing him among the league’s top scorers. He plays a little over 18 minutes a night and continues to produce in both wins and losses. His performance against Washington came just days after he scored and added an assist in a win over the Vegas Golden Knights.

His career began when the Boston Bruins selected him in the third round of the 2006 NHL Draft. Now 37, he remains productive and driven, bringing impact every night. The Panthers reinforced their belief in him by signing him to a six-year, $31.5 million contract with a $5.25 million cap hit. The deal runs through the end of the 2030-31 season, after which he will become an unrestricted free agent.
