When the New York Giants moved on from Brian Daboll last year, the franchise could have gone in a number of different directions. Yet, in John Harbaugh, they landed arguably the best head coach who hit the market this offseason.
It’s not often a former Super Bowl winner, especially one with just three losing seasons across 18 years as a head coach, becomes available, but Harbaugh did. However, now the public may have a better idea of why he was let go.
John Harbaugh’s Giants Speech Draws Scrutiny Online
He hasn’t been on the job long, but with rookies reporting for training camp on the 23rd and vets on the 28th, Harbaugh’s about to take center stage. While they’ve already met him, likely during mandatory minicamp in June, over the next few days and weeks, Giants players will have a real chance to connect with Harbaugh.
However, he’s already made his first impression when addressing the team in previous sessions. Now, the Giants have revealed a portion of that speech on the team’s TikTok page. Yet, Harbaugh’s speech isn’t exactly generating rave reviews. In fact, people are making fun of it online.

Oftentimes, after a well-prepared and executed motivational speech, people say they’re “ready to run through a wall.” Only, that’s not what’s happening here; rather, one X user said the opposite is true.

One ruthless user even went as far as to say he’s embarrassed, not for him, but of Harbaugh.

Hopefully, Harbaugh’s first impression on the field goes a lot better than this speech. Though it’s never easy meeting an entire room full of new-to-you people. Chances are, he was just a bit nervous, or as he said, they were “excited nerves.”
