Production at the wide receiver position has significantly fluctuated early in the 2025 NFL season, with several stars posting down games in Week 1 before rounding into form in Week 2. Others dropped off after a terrific season-opener, plummeting down our wide receiver rankings.
With the help of our metrics, we’ll be ranking and grading the top 25 wide receivers from each week in the NFL, complete with full analysis, before ranking the rest.
Find out below who appears on our list — and who doesn’t.
25) Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots
WRi Score and Grade: 76.6 (C)
Working his way back from a torn ACL that ended his 2024 campaign, Stefon Diggs ran just 17 routes for the Patriots on Sunday. He capitalized on limited reps, catching five passes for 32 yards in helping New England secure a 33-27 victory over the Miami Dolphins. Watch for Diggs to continue to up his snap count and develop a strong chemistry with second-year quarterback Drake Maye.
24) Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints
WRi Score and Grade: 76.7 (C)
Shaheed, always known as a deep threat, finished with 10.4 yards per target for the Saints on Sunday, catching all five targets for 52 yards and his first touchdown of the season. The San Francisco 49ers’ secondary is among the best in the league, but it had trouble containing Shaheed despite coming away with the win.
23) Hunter Renfrow, Carolina Panthers
WRi Score and Grade: 76.7 (C)
What a coming-out party it was for Renfrow against the Arizona Cardinals, as the previously retired wide receiver caught seven of his nine targets for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Long considered a major red zone threat with the Raiders for five seasons, Renfrow’s route-running ability allowed him to come free twice for scores in his second game with Carolina.
22) Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
WRi Score and Grade: 77.0 (C)
Olave had a nearly identical outing in Week 2 as he did in Week 1, as he finished with 54 receiving yards in both. He caught seven passes last week and six this week, emerging as quarterback Spencer Rattler’s favorite target on the outside. He registered just 5.4 yards per target, however, a result of a lack of downfield shots from the second-year passer Rattler.
21) DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
WRi Score and Grade: 77.4 (C+)
Smith endured a negative game script for a wide receiver (low scoring, physical, ground and pound) in catching four of his six targets for 53 yards in the Eagles’ Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs. He made arguably the biggest play of the game, climbing the ladder and converting a pivotal third down for Philadelphia in the final quarter.
20) George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys
WRi Score and Grade: 77.7 (C+)
As the No. 2 receiver to Ceedee Lamb, Pickens played exceptionally well against the New York Giants on Sunday. He caught five of nine targets for 68 yards and a touchdown, including a 27-yard gain late in overtime that set up a game-winning kick by Brandon Aubrey.
19) Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts
WRi Score and Grade: 78.9 (C+)
Though Downs never quite broke the ceiling of the defense, he caught six passes for 51 yards, including several key catches in the Colts’ closely-contested victory over the Broncos. He recorded 2.22 yards per route, a solid mark for a guy who’s arguably the third or fourth option in the Indianapolis offense.
18) Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers
WRi Score and Grade: 79.1 (C+)
Operating with backup quarterback Mac Jones at the helm, Jennings had himself a day against the Saints. His 6’3″, 212-pound frame certainly helped Jones find him five times for 89 yards and a touchdown, a nice breakthrough for Jennings after a disappointing Week 1 outing.
17) Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
WRi Score and Grade: 79.2 (C+)
The Panthers put the ball in the air 53 times on Sunday, with the rookie McMillan being targeted 10 times. He did well with his opportunities, catching six passes for 100 yards, marking his first of what he hopes is many triple-digit performances. McMillan has quickly become quarterback Bryce Young’s favorite target early in the season.
16) Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions
WRi Score and Grade: 79.3 (C+)
Williams had himself an explosive day against the Chicago Bears, as he caught two passes for 108 yards and a touchdown.
Jameson Williams had two catches for 108 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Bears.

— Brad Galli (@BradGalli) September 14, 2025
He caught passes for 64- and 44-yard gains, displaying his overwhelming speed and game-breaking ability. His 27 yards per target led the NFL in Week 2.
15) Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins
WRi Score and Grade: 79.5 (C+)
Despite apparent frustration with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Hill had a nice statistical outing against the New England Patriots, catching six passes for 109 yards. He caught a pass for 47 yards, his longest catch this season, and a look at where Hill’s done his damage in seasons past.
14) Deebo Samuel Sr., Washington Commanders
WRi Score and Grade: 79.7 (C+)
In his second game with the Commanders, Samuel amassed just 44 receiving yards but caught seven of his eight targets. Washington broadly deployed him as a run-after-catch specialist, getting him the ball quickly and letting him damage the Green Bay Packers’ secondary.
13) CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
WRi Score and Grade: 79.9 (C+)
For a second straight week, Lamb went over 100 yards receiving as he’s off to a tremendous start to the season. Against the Giants, he caught seven of nine targets for 112 yards, with quarterback Dak Prescott repeatedly looking his way on crucial downs.
12) Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins
WRi Score and Grade: 80.1 (B-)
Waddle rebounded from a disappointing Week 1 in posting a five-catch, 68-yard effort against the Patriots in Week 2. He also caught a touchdown and was recorded at 11.3 yards per target, an efficient number and one that should lead to more targets as the season progresses.
11) Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens
WRi Score and Grade: 81.4 (B-)
Despite matching up against a talented Browns secondary, Flowers excelled against Cleveland as he caught seven passes for 75 yards. He ran just 29 routes due to Baltimore leading nearly the entire game, recording 2.59 yards per route — a very healthy mark.
10) Cooper Kupp, Seattle Seahawks
WRi Score and Grade: 81.9 (B-)
Kupp bounced back from a disappointing debut with the Seahawks, as he caught seven passes for 90 yards on the road against the Steelers. He recorded 3.21 yards per route, maximizing his opportunities and proving to be a massive boost for Seattle as they took care of business on the road.
9) Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
WRi Score and Grade: 82.4 (B-)
Fellow Seahawk Smith-Njigba outdid Kupp, posting his second consecutive 100-yard game to start the season in addition to catching eight passes. Smith-Njigba had a massive impact on the outcome of the game, as he finished with 0.49 EPA per target, a high mark for the former Ohio State Buckeye.
8) Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
WRi Score and Grade: 82.9 (B-)
In his second game with the Rams, Adams proved to be a major contributor in reeling in six of 13 targets for 106 yards and a touchdown. The fact that he received 13 targets may not be the best efficiency-wise, but it shows the trust that veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford has in Adams in just two short weeks.
7) Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
WRi Score and Grade: 83.0 (B)
Nacua did what he does best in Week 2 against the Titans: catch a lot of passes and rack up a lot of yards. Last week, he recorded 10 receptions for 130 yards; this week, eight catches for 91 yards. The Rams’ most reliable receiver, Nacua, is excellent across the middle of the field and creates a hard duo to cover alongside Adams.
6) Malik Nabers, New York Giants
WRi Score and Grade: 83.9 (B)
Nabers had perhaps the best day of his young career against the Cowboys, catching nine of his 13 targets for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

He posted an impressive 3.71 yards per route as quarterback Russell Wilson’s go-to target in the near victory.
5) Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants
WRi Score and Grade: 84.6 (B)
Robinson, Nabers’ teammate, outdid him in yards per route, recording an even higher mark of 4.06. Though he caught one fewer touchdown, Robinson finished with eight receptions on 10 targets for 142 yards. After a breakout 2024 campaign, the former Kentucky Wildcat appears to be on track for an even bigger year in 2025.
4) Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears
WRi Score and Grade: 84.8 (B)
Speaking of breakout seasons, Odunze may have begun his sophomore breakout with his dominant effort against the Lions on Sunday. He had easily the best game of his career, catching seven passes for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Despite the Bears being down nearly the entire game and throwing 33 passes, he also recorded 3.12 yards per route.
3) Troy Franklin, Denver Broncos
WRi Score and Grade: 86.1 (B)
A 2024 fourth-round pick, much was expected of Franklin entering his second season. Through two weeks, he’s lived up to the hype — especially against the Colts in Week 2, in which he caught eight of nine targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. The fact that he did this on just 28 routes run makes the standout performance that much more impressive.
2) Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
WRi Score and Grade: 88.8 (B+)
St. Brown posted a touchdown trifecta in Detroit’s blowout win over Chicago, also adding 115 receiving yards on nine receptions. He led the NFL in Week 2 with 4.11 yards per route combined with 10.5 yards per target — a brilliant weapon for quarterback Jared Goff and the Lions.
1) Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
WRi Score and Grade: 93.5 (A)
Week 1 was disappointing for Chase, but Week 2 was a completely different story. He was arguably the most dominant receiver in the league despite quarterback Joe Burrow exiting due to injury.

With backup Jake Browning throwing him passes, Chase reeled in 14 of 16 targets for 165 yards and a touchdown. He’ll have to continue playing at a high level, as Burrow is expected to miss upwards of three months with a toe injury.
