Several NFL teams entered Week 4 play still undefeated this season, and those teams looked to keep their perfect records alive. A couple of the unbeatens were tested in their games but came out unscathed. The others? Not so much.
When looking at these teams with perfect records, they all have big players who always come through in the clutch.
Only 2 Teams Remain Undefeated
The Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles are the only remaining undefeated teams in the NFL.
Behind another great day from starting quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills went to 4-0 after defeating the New Orleans Saints 31-19 in Orchard Park, New York.
Allen was 16-for-22 passing for 209 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Bills’ QB1 found receivers open in the clutch, resulting in a home victory.

Meanwhile, the defending Super Bowl champions are also 4-0. Philadelphia defeated the previously unbeaten Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-25 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Quarterback Jalen Hurts was 15-of-24 passing for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
Colts, 49ers, Buccaneers, and Chargers Record First Loss
The Indianapolis Colts fell from the ranks of the unbeaten on Sunday, though, as the Los Angeles Rams defeated them 27-20 at SoFi Stadium.
What about the San Francisco 49ers? They are no longer unbeaten, either, as Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the 49ers 26-21 at Levi’s Stadium.
Indianapolis trusted the arm of quarterback Daniel Jones to keep them pushing ahead, while quarterback Brock Purdy returned to the 49ers after being out with an injury.
The Los Angeles Chargers were another undefeated team entering Week 4, but they lost their first game of the season to the New York Giants.
The Buccaneers fought hard against the Eagles in Week 4, but ultimately came up short. Nevertheless, they remain in an ideal spot to win their division.
It was interesting to see if the Colts and 49ers could retain their perfect records in the 2025 NFL season. Being among the top teams in the NFL means that other teams will aim to knock off the unbeaten ones. But both of them lost their first game of the season today.
The Colts and 49ers have playoff aspirations, and despite their losses today, they are in a good position to make the postseason.
As Sunday ended, two games still rode the wave of perfection, while the rest licked their wounds from their first loss. All of these teams have solid head coaches leading them, and they’ll make sure their squads are ready to go every week.
