Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix climbed two spots from 17 to 15 in the Power Rankings this week. In fact, his 2025 PFSN QBi Grade is a 77.6 (C+). But there is still meat on the bone. Nix has already proven it, with back-to-back 300-plus scrimmage yard games on 35-plus pass attempts in each game. The touchdowns have yet to regress to the mean, though. In other words, Nix is set to explode in Week 14.
The Week Bo Nix Signals He’s a Franchise Quarterback
PFSN’s Jacob Infante released his QB Rankings on Tuesday. In it, he has Nix No. 15.
“Bo Nix led all quarterbacks in the NFL with 321 passing yards in Week 13. It took a nail-biter that went into overtime for them to seal the deal. Still, the Denver Broncos defeated the Commanders on Sunday night, and a respectable outing with a touchdown and a 64.4% completion percentage helped get them there,” Infante wrote.
Nix’s season-long completion percentage can be interpreted two ways. He’s not accurate. Or he’s taking more risks in Year 2. Nix has at least a 64% completion percentage in just five games this season. That said, he totals four three-plus touchdown games as well. And Nix has six game-winning drives through 12 games. In other words, there are traits of a franchise quarterback in Nix.
In addition, he is No. 11 in passing yards (2,742) and tied for No. 7 in passing touchdowns (19). Nix has 52 totes for 229 yards and three rushing touchdowns as well. He is No. 3 in pass attempts, No. 4 in deep ball attempts, No. 8 in red zone attempts, and No. 6 in air yards. Simply, Nix is airing the ball out and experiencing growing pains.
But he’s put those pains to bed in the past two games. And Week 14 is when the football cognoscenti exclaims that Nix is a franchise quarterback. This week should look like Week 8 vs. the Dallas Cowboys. Week 14 will be the third game of consistency for Nix, with four games to go.
Infante continued. “Coming out of Week 13, Nix leads the NFL with six game-winning drives and is tied with Caleb Williams for the most fourth-quarter comebacks in the league. He hasn’t been the most consistent firing out of the gate, but he’s stepped up when it’s mattered most to help Denver win games.”
