It’s Thursday, so this is the second possible day of practice for the Denver Broncos players to return to the field. We took players off the list who have logged back-to-back full practices. That said, although wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. is fully practicing, he still has to clear concussion protocol. Fellow WR Trent Sherfield, meanwhile, ramped back up to a full practice Thursday, so he was taken off the list as well. Let’s go.
John Franklin-Myers (Back)
John Franklin-Myers is a surprise limited practice after Thursday’s injury report was released. This is a situation to monitor. Part of the defensive line quartet, Franklin-Myers is one of four defenders with four and a half or more sacks.
If Franklin-Myers is out in Week 11, there’s no point in playing man coverage as much. While man coverage and sending five or more pass rushers create individual matchups, there’s not a sixth defensive lineman to take Franklin-Myers’ spot as a pass rusher.
D.J. Jones has just one sack through 10 games, and Eyioma Uwazurike is more suited to be a depth piece, although the latter may be able to spot start for a game or two.
Pat Surtain II (Pectoral)
Pat Surtain II is still not practicing. He isn’t expected back until Week 13 at the earliest. The Broncos have a bye week in Week 12.
Alex Singleton (Illness)
Alex Singleton is not expected to play the next couple of weeks as well.
Jonah Elliss (Hamstring)
Jonah Elliss would’ve been listed in Franklin-Myers’ blurb, but he has not practiced yet to start the week. The Broncos’ pass rushers may take a couple of hits this week.
J.K. Dobbins (Foot)
Friday will confirm it, but it’s not likely J.K. Dobbins plays in Week 11. Expect RJ Harvey to be the bellcow. Head coach Sean Payton said, “You’re starting to see that (growth) with RJ (Harvey). And obviously, he’ll have more opportunities here in this game. So, yeah, he’s built when you see his frame. He’s built to last, and that’s important.”

Wheels up for Harvey.
Nate Adkins (Knee)
Nate Adkins is not likely to play in Week 11, but we’ll have more clarity after Friday’s injury report. Expect Marcedes Lewis to be called up for a third game in a row.
