Cardinals Injury Report: Latest Updates on Marvin Harrison Jr., Mack Wilson Sr., Will Johnson Status Against 49ers

The Cardinals’ Friday injury report is out, and the game status for several key players isn’t what Arizona fans were hoping for. What’s the latest?

The Arizona Cardinals have had a laundry list on the injury report through Wednesday and Thursday practices and got some game-status answers on Friday’s report.

The Cardinals will be without numerous key starters on both sides of the ball on Sunday, which is never a good sign when going up against a Kyle Shanahan-coached San Francisco 49ers team.

While the 49ers are getting some key players back on Sunday, Arizona is headed in the opposite direction.

What Are the Latest Injury Report Updates On Key Cardinals?

The Cardinals released their Friday injury report with game statuses ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the 49ers, and there are a lot of key contributors who won’t be on the field in Week 11.

Cardinals Game Statuses

  • LB Baron Browning (concussion) – OUT
  • S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (Ankle) – OUT
  • OL Hayden Conner (Knee) – OUT
  • OL Jonah Williams (Shoulder) – OUT
  • ILB Mack Wilson Sr. (Ribs) – OUT
  • WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (Illness) – OUT
  • CB Will Johnson (Back/Hip) – OUT
  • RB Bam Knight (Ankle) – QUESTIONABLE
  • LB B.J. Ojulari (Knee) – QUESTIONABLE
  • DL Darius Robinson (Groin) – QUESTIONABLE
  • OL Kelvin Beachum (Groin) – QUESTIONABLE
  • DL Walter Nolen III (Knee) – QUESTIONABLE
  • OL Will Hernandez (Knee) – QUESTIONABLE

The Cardinals will be without their signal-caller on defense for the second straight game and two members of their secondary.

Johnson, who’s ranked No. 6 in the NFL according to PFSN’s CB Impact, will miss his second straight game. However, fellow cornerback Max Melton (concussion) was a full practice participant on Friday and does not have a designation heading into Sunday.

Arizona will also be without Williams, who normally starts, and Harrison on the offensive side of the ball. With both Beachum and Hernandez questionable, the Cardinals’ offensive-line depth could get thin.

Both Nolen and Robinson being questionable is a scary sign for Cardinals fans. Defensive coordinator Nick Rallis just talked this week about how much of an impact he feels Robinson makes, and now both he and Nolen, who had an impressive NFL debut two weeks ago, are in doubt for Sunday.

However, on a positive note, Ojulari is questionable to play for the first time this year. It’s another step in the right direction toward the Cardinals’ linebacker making his season debut.

On the 49ers’ side, defensive back Deommodore Lenoir is questionable with a calf injury, but both quarterback Brock Purdy and receiver Ricky Pearsall are off the injury report and on track to play Sunday.

Both players have missed a significant amount of time this year. The 49ers should get some key pieces back for Sunday’s matchup, while the Cardinals are losing a lot of key pieces.

It’s not a recipe for success against Shanahan and the 49ers.
