Despite his best efforts, Colin Kaepernick doesn’t play quarterback in the NFL anymore. He hasn’t played since the end of the 2016 NFL season. He’s now 38 years old, so chances are, his second chance won’t be happening.
Yet, that doesn’t mean Kaepernick can’t make an impact in other ways. When he’s not working on staying in peak form, Kaepernick invests a good chunk of his time giving back to the community in various ways. Now, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has made another heartwarming gesture.
Colin Kaepernick Pitches In for Nolan Wells Autopsy
Kaepernick can often be seen and heard making waves while fighting for social justice. Now, he’s earning praise for stepping up to help out a community that’s searching for answers.
According to attorney Ben Crump, Kaepernick paid for a second autopsy to be done on Nolan Wells, the Mississippi teen whose death after a Fourth of July boating trip is being questioned by his family.

The family is seeking more details after their son was found dead. Yet, they wanted to seek a second opinion, outside of the state where the incident took place, believing there’s a “serious trust issue” with the Mississippi investigation.

Kaepernick stepped up with a payment when he could have minded his own business. Now, he’s being thanked for his donation.
One social media user on X called Kaepernick a “real one” for his latest act of humility.

Meanwhile, another user added that Kaepernick didn’t just pay for the second autopsy; he also paid for the body to be flown from Mississippi to Washington, D.C., for further analysis.

Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill Jr. suggested that Kaepernick has “done more for the community than the majority of NFL players still under contract.”
