‘They’re Not Even Considering Him’ — NFL Scout Reveals Many Teams Removed Shedeur Sanders From Draft Board

One NFL scout reveals that some teams have taken Shedeur Sanders off of the their draft boards amid one of the biggest slides in NFL Draft history.

The main storyline of Day 3 of the NFL Draft is the free fall of Shedeur Sanders. It’s getting late early for Sanders as teams continuously pass on him and look elsewhere to improve their rosters. Some teams could still be in the market for a quarterback, yet teams are either taking other positions or even taking different quarterbacks.

Sanders was originally seen as a consensus top-three QB in the draft, but five have already been drafted before him. Now, an NFL scout has revealed that many teams have likely taken Sanders off their draft boards altogether, and Sanders could be on his way to not hearing his name called in a wild turn of events this weekend.

Shedeur Sanders Potentially Taken Off Draft Boards

One NFL scout was asked why Sanders is sliding in the 2025 NFL Draft. The scout addressed the idea that many teams aren’t even considering Sanders while fans are fixated on how Sanders is still dropping into Day 3.

“I know you’re focused on him with each passing pick but you’d be amazed at the number of teams that don’t even have him on their board. They’re not even considering him. He’s not a part of their conversations,” said the scout.

Fans are zeroed in on Sanders and waiting for his name to be called, while it looks like very few NFL teams are even remotely interested in Sanders, and his continuously dropping draft stock. The reasoning for why he is sliding was related to his interviews, character, and seems to be based on his off-the-field behaviors rather than his on-field performances.

“The reasoning was more about the way he and others in his circle handled the draft process. The interviews with teams, Deion saying he might not play for certain teams, etc. Some teams just don’t want to deal with that and the media spotlight with a potential rookie backup QB,” said NFL reporter Arash Markazi, on what he heard from the scout.”

Sanders must’ve made a bad impression during his interviews, and his reputation as the son of Deion Sanders is likely not helping. Deion saying he might not play for certain teams is another factor hurting him, as his pool of options is already very small, as the draft continues, and other teams find their QB in the draft.

Sanders going undrafted was very unlikely in the weeks leading up to the draft, but with each passing pick, the possibility increases. If teams have removed Sanders from their boards, Sanders could end up undrafted in one of the biggest NFL Draft slides in history. He will be hoping that some team sees his potential and thinks the value is there to take Sanders as the draft reaches its later stages, but it seems not many teams are interested.
