NFL Referee Assignments for Week 8: Who Are the Officials for Each Game?

Thanks to the nature of the sport and the advent of social media, an already tough job that officials have during games has gotten considerably harder. The speed and physicality of the NFL make it nearly impossible for referees to make the correct call 100% of the time without fail. But in a sport where games are decided by inches, fans can quickly turn aghast against calls that do not work in their favor.

As a result, the league has tightened down on its rules considerably over the years. This season, after a mandate for stricter officiating against the “Tush Push,” it’s become clear that the voice of the fan base is reaching league offices. So, they try to ensure that the best quality crew is available for the games to minimize any discrepancies regarding calls made in the game.
