How To Watch NFL RedZone: Price, Packages, Channel, Streaming, and More After ESPN Purchase

NFL RedZone is changing in 2025, and here’s what fans need to know about price, streaming, and ESPN’s role in the show.

Change is coming for die-hard NFL fans– like it or not. NFL RedZone was recently purchased by ESPN, and Scott Hanson also announced that the days of commercial-free football are over.

But how can you watch NFL RedZone in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season? Here’s everything you need to know.

NFL RedZone Adds Commercials

Scott Hanson is set to start his 16th season hosting RedZone, but for the first time in 15 years, he won’t be promising “seven hours of commercial-free football starts now” at the top of the show. On “The Pat McAfee Show,” Hanson confirmed the NFL is keeping ads on the NFL RedZone broadcast for good.

He said no plays will be missed, but it’s tough to picture the same nonstop action with breaks breaking up the flow.

The NFL still runs the RedZone show, so ESPN isn’t producing it yet. Hanson has made it clear that this decision has nothing to do with ESPN.

While ESPN recently purchased NFL RedZone, the show won’t be moving over to ESPN until the 2026 season. For this season, NFL RedZone will remain available on the NFL+ app and other providers.

What Are the Streaming Options and Prices for RedZone?

Streaming without cable? There are plenty of options, but you’ll need to figure out which package fits your Sunday football habit best:

  • NFL+ Premium: $14.99 monthly or $79.99 for the year. You get RedZone, NFL Network, replays, and live audio, working on phones, tablets, desktops, and TVs.
  • YouTube TV: RedZone is included in the Sports Plus add-on at $10.99 monthly. New subscribers pay $49.99 for the first two months before it jumps to $82.99.
  • NFL Sunday Ticket: RedZone comes bundled with Sunday Ticket on YouTube or YouTube TV, starting at $318 for new users and higher for returning subscribers. Monthly payment options are out there, too.
  • Hulu + Live TV: Costs $82.99 monthly, and RedZone is included in the Sports add-on for another $9.99.

Here’s another twist for the 2025 campaign: ESPN’s bundle. For $39.99 per month, you get both ESPN Unlimited and NFL+ Premium, plus Disney+ (ad-supported) and Hulu (ad-supported) included for a year. It’s a good deal for volume streamers, but every platform in the package comes with ads.

So, yes, commercials are now part of RedZone, and no, the price hasn’t dropped. Still, if you play fantasy or want to see every score across the league, it’s the only spot that checks all the boxes. Hanson is back for year sixteen, steering viewers through every big play, every Sunday, from 1 p.m. ET until the late games finish up.

The “witching hour” — when every early game comes down to the wire at the same time — still brings pure chaos. The Octobox isn’t going anywhere, and neither is the chance to bounce from stadium to stadium, catching it all in real time. The broadcast’s pace hasn’t slowed down, even if commercials have changed the experience.

RedZone isn’t what it was a few years ago, but it’s still the channel that can turn an ordinary Sunday into total sensory overload. ESPN’s takeover hints that bigger changes are coming, but until then, fans know exactly where to tune in for football’s wildest ride.

ESPN did buy NFL RedZone. While the did purchase the NFL Channel as part of their deal with the NFL ESPN only has the right to broadcast RedZone on their network just like any other provider. Please rewatch the interview.
