The much anticipated NFL playoffs got underway on Saturday, Jan. 14, and continued through Monday. We had plenty of thrilling action, including one of the largest comebacks in NFL playoff history when the Jaguars beat the Chargers. Let’s look at the results from Wild Card Weekend and what that means regarding the 2022 NFL Playoff Bracket.

NFL Playoffs Wild Card Results
Seattle Seahawks (23) at San Francisco 49ers (41)
In the early minutes of the game, it looked like the 49ers would run away with it and secure an easy spot in the Divisional Round. Not so fast. The Seahawks came roaring back, scoring 17 points in the first half, and took a 17-16 lead into halftime. However, the 49ers proved to be too much in the second half.
49ers QB Brock Purdy threw for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns. WR Deebo Samuel helped lead the way on offense, racking up 133 receiving yards, while RB Christian McCaffrey added 119 yards on the ground. The 49ers proved why they should be Super Bowl favorites in the Wild Card win vs. the Seahawks.
The 49ers will host the Cowboys on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Los Angeles Chargers (30) at Jacksonville Jaguars (31)
Wow. What a game. The Jaguars were left for dead in the first half after the Chargers went up by 20 points heading into halftime. Then, Jacksonville started to slowly chip away in the second half before walking off with a game-winning field goal.
This game will be talked about for years to come and will go down as one of the biggest playoff comebacks in NFL history, and one of the biggest playoff collapses in NFL history.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence finished the game with 288 yards passing, four touchdowns, and four interceptions. RB Travis Etienne Jr. added 109 yards on the ground, while TE Evan Engram led the pass catchers with 93 receiving yards.
The Jaguars will play the Chiefs on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 4:30 p.m. ET in the Divisional Round.
Miami Dolphins (31) at Buffalo Bills (34)
The Dolphins were down and out in the first quarter before cutting the 17-point deficit to three heading into halftime. They regained the lead in the early third quarter after forcing a Josh Allen fumble, which they returned for a touchdown.
That held until 5:18 in the third quarter after the Bills intercepted an ill-advised throw from Skylar Thompson on 3rd-and-19 with the Dolphins backed into their end zone. Starting their drive around the 30-yard line, the Bills made quick work of it and went ahead for the lead.

They never looked back from there, although the Dolphins kept the game close. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, close is only good enough in horseshoes.
Allen finished the day with 352 yards passing and three touchdowns, while WR Stefon Diggs added 114 receiving yards.
In the Divisional Round, the Bills will host the Bengals on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 3 p.m. ET.
New York Giants (31) at Minnesota Vikings (24)
This game didn’t feature the theatrics of the Chargers vs. Jaguars and Dolphins vs. Bills game, but it was still good back-and-forth playoff football that saw the pull away with the victory.
Giants QB Daniel Jones — who many had written off before the start of this season — threw for 301 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding 78 yards on the ground. RB Saquon Barkley had 2 touchdowns on the ground.

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins threw for 273 yards and 2 touchdowns but the Giants defense did a great job holding star WR Justin Jefferson in check as he was only able to gain 50 reception yards.
The Giants continue to be impressive when the games matter most, and they’ll head to the Divisional Round to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Baltimore Ravens (17) at Cincinnati Bengals (24)
The Ravens fell to the Bengals 24-17 in a typical hard-nosed AFC North showdown.
Ravens QB Tyle Huntley, filling in for the injured Lamar Jackson, threw for 226 yards and 1 touchdown. He also added 54 yards rushing on the ground. TE Mark Andrews was the leading pass catcher with 73 yards, and RB J.K. Dobbins led running backs with 62 yards on the ground.

For the Bengals, QB Joe Burrow threw for 209 yards and 1 touchdown. Ja’Marr Chase led all receivers with 84 yards and 1 touchdown.
Cincinnati will now travel to Buffalo take on the Bills in the Divisional Round matchup on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 3 p.m. ET.
Dallas Cowboys (31) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (14)
This game wasn’t close, and it didn’t take long for the Cowboys to establish their dominance over the Buccaneers in this game. They jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back, even with Cowboys K Brett Maher missing four field goals — the most in any regular or postseason game since at least 1950.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott threw for 305 yards and 4 touchdowns, while RB Tony Pollard added 77 yards on the ground. TE Dalton Shultz led all pass-catchers with 95 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns, while WR CeeDee Lamb added 68 reception yards.

On the other side, Buccaneers QB Tom Brady may have played his last game. Despite throwing for 351 yards and 2 touchdowns, he looked like a 45-year-old quarterback, often missing receivers and just generally out of sync. His future remains up in the air as he becomes a free agent at the start of the new league year in March.
The Cowboys will now face the 49ers in the Divisional Round on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
