Terrell Owens, a 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, revealed his current top three receivers in the NFL and didn’t name CeDee Lamb on the list. Let’s find out which ones he rated high.

Terrell Owens Shares His Top 3 NFL Receivers
Owens, who racked up nine 1,000-yard seasons during his NFL career, appeared on the “It’s What It Is” podcast and named Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase as the league’s two best wideouts.
When it came to his third pick, Owens paused before leaning into his Philadelphia Eagles roots. “I’m gonna throw A.J. Brown just because he represents the Eagles,” Owens said.

He also mentioned Detroit’s Amon-Ra St. Brown as one of the league’s rising stars, but he notably left Lamb out of the conversation. Lamb, a Dallas Cowboys standout, has been one of the most consistent receivers in the NFL, notching four straight 1,000-yard seasons, falling short in only his rookie season.
Still, Owens’ top picks are hard to argue with. Chase dominated the 2024 season, leading the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), and touchdowns (17). Through four seasons, Chase has totaled 395 catches for 5,425 yards and 46 touchdowns.
Jefferson also had a huge year in 2024, putting up 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns on 103 catches.
Brown, despite dealing with injuries, remained productive. In just 13 games, he recorded 67 receptions, 1,079 yards, and seven touchdowns. That 1,000-yard mark is no small feat — only 24 receivers hit that number all season.
But leaving Lamb out does seem a little unfair to the Americas team Owens once was a part of. He represented the Cowboys from 2006-2008, notching three straight 1,000 yard+ and 10+ touchdown seasons.
Nevertheless, Lamb remains one of the top receivers in the league and is deservedly the third highest-paid receiver in the league behind Chase and Jefferson.
Dallas drafted Lamb in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and he quickly became one of the league’s top receivers. In 16 games as a rookie, he recorded 74 catches for 935 yards and five touchdowns. His production was limited after Dak Prescott went down with an ankle injury, but the foundation was in place for what’s turned into a stellar career.
With Prescott back in 2021, Lamb bumped up his numbers to 79 catches for 1,102 yards and six touchdowns. He earned his first Pro Bowl nod and helped the Cowboys win the NFC East. In 2022, Lamb took another step, topping 100 receptions and earning second-team All-Pro honors. Dallas made the playoffs again that season, with Lamb totaling 14 receptions for 185 yards and a touchdown in two postseason games.
Lamb’s best year so far came in 2023. He led the league with 135 receptions on 181 targets, finishing with 1,749 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns, plus two rushing scores. He was named first-team All-Pro.
After holding out of the 2024 offseason program and part of training camp, Lamb landed a four-year, $136 million extension. The deal made him the second-highest-paid receiver in the league then, trailing only Justin Jefferson.
Prescott missed half of the 2024 season, and Lamb’s numbers dipped—though not dramatically. He still finished with 101 receptions, 1,194 yards, and six touchdowns, earning second-team All-Pro honors again. Now, he’s looking to bounce back strong in 2025.
