NFL Insider Drops Verdict on Tyreek Hill’s Future With Dolphins Amid Star WR’s Trade Rumors

NFL insider Dan Graziano believes Tyreek Hill could be traded if the Miami Dolphins get off to a poor start this season.

Tyreek Hill could be on his way out of Miami. On Monday, September 1, 2025, an episode of ESPN’s “Get Up,” NFL insider Dan Graziano added fuel to the trade speculation, sharing that Hill could be a trade candidate if the Miami Dolphins fall out of playoff contention before the trade deadline.

NFL Insider Predicts Tyreek Hill’s Name To Come Up in Trade Talks Near Trade Deadline

The panelists discussed the Dolphins’ fortunes, and Graziano predicts that Hill could be available in a trade if the Dolphins do poorly in the first half of the season.

“If they fall out of it, he’ll be a name we’re talking about in October, you know, at the trade deadline, I think.” However, Graziano added that if Hill were to get traded, it would be later in the season.

“I think they plan to go forward. The guys they moved on from, they moved on from by choice, more or less, like, and so I think you’re seeing them kind of reset,” he added.

Panelist and former NFL player Damien Woody does not think that they would be a good team this year. He predicts they will do poorly this year, saying:

“Four of their captains from last year are no longer on the team. Right. Jalen Ramsey, gone. The quarterback and star wide receiver they’re not in the greatest of places. There is bad mojo in Miami right now. That’s just the way I look at it.”

Last year’s captains included Calais Campbell, Terron Armstead, and David Long Jr., veterans who are no longer on the team.

Hill Not Named a Captain for the Dolphins This Season

The Dolphins named their captains ahead of the start of the regular season, and six players were chosen. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, center Aaron Brewer, and fullback Alec Ingold represent the offense. At the same time, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, defensive tackle Zach Sieler, and edge rusher Bradley Chubb are the captains on defense.

These six players would have the capital “C” emblazoned on their jerseys. Noticeably missing is Hill, who was a captain for the past three seasons.

This is the latest chapter in Hill’s uncertain future with the Dolphins. Hill walked back his “I’m out” comments from the end of last season, and is still on the team despite trade rumors during the offseason. With the regular season less than a week away, it is increasingly likely that Hill will be playing for the Dolphins, at least to start the season.
