‘So Disrespectful to Every Dude in the NFL’ — Insider Reacts to Jake Paul’s Controversial Remark on Football Aspirations

Even after his athletic accomplishments, one insider believes Jake Paul was very disrespectful to all players in the NFL.

The Paul brothers have become mainstream names throughout the country as they continue to rise in prominence and fame. Starting their careers as content creators, they’ve expanded into various avenues.

Most notably, their foray into the athletic world has landed Jake Paul in the boxing world, while Logan Paul has become a full-time WWE performer. But the elder of the two brothers is now starting to believe he can make a run for the NFL as well.

Jake Paul Wants to Conquer the NFL Next

Starting his career with the online platform “Vine,” Paul built a huge following, which eventually transferred over to YouTube. Becoming one of the biggest content creators on YouTube, he eventually landed acting gigs as well.

Making appearances in movies like Dance Camp, Airplane Mode, Mainstream, and A Genie’s Tail. Further, his acting career even extended to the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark, as well as television series like Walk the Prank, The Price Is Right, and Ridiculousness.

Eventually, though, he stepped foot into the boxing world, beginning with a victory over Deji Olatunji. Since then, he’s been involved with some high-profile celebrity boxing matches against the likes of Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva.

He’s also taken on major names like Tommy Fury, Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland, and Mike Perry, alongside legends like Mike Tyson and a former two-time unified world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.

His latest comments about “mediocrity in the NFL” did not go over well with the football world.

“I think there’s a lot of super mediocrity in the NFL,” Paul said. “A lot of not good athletes, a lot of people dropping passes on a consistent basis. I have better hands than them, I’m faster than them, I’m stronger than them, I work harder than them. Really, all it’s going to take is me after boxing, practicing some routes.”

Going a step further, he also revealed that he had an actual plan in place. “I have a couple of teams and coaches that I’ve already talked to that are already interested in bringing me on to the team. It’s really going to be quite easy.”

Hailing from Cleveland, he also chose the Cleveland Browns as his dream team. “I’d love to go to the Cleveland Browns, been a Browns fan my whole, entire life. My mom is a diehard Browns fan, and they could use some good receivers over there.”

Unfortunately, his comments about the state of players in the league and his relative superiority over them did not go over well with the NFL world. Jordan Schultz was among the first to respond, calling out his comments.

He wrote, “All due respect to Jake Paul, but this statement is so disrespectful to every dude in the NFL who has spent their entire life preparing for the league!”

It remains to be seen if Paul decides to make a run for the NFL.

So far, there hasn’t been a lot of actual noise about the transition. But if it does end up being a reality, it could open up an entirely new pathway to the NFL.
