Veteran kicker Justin Tucker has been suspended for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 NFL season, the NFL announced on Thursday, June 26. According to one media insider, this might be the last that fans see of the Baltimore Ravens’ all-time leading scorer.

Will Kicker Justin Tucker Get Another Opportunity in NFL After Latest Suspension?
Tucker, 35, was released by the Ravens in May after spending 13 seasons with the team. Though the team insisted the move was based on football decisions, the timing coincided with growing scrutiny over Tucker’s off-field allegations.
Accusations surrounding Tucker stem from incidents reported by 16 massage therapists across eight Baltimore-area spas, with claims reportedly dating back to 2012. Allegations include inappropriate exposure and unwanted contact during massage sessions.
Tucker has denied any wrongdoing, and his representatives expressed disappointment with the NFL’s ruling. Tucker’s representatives stated that he has accepted the suspension, will move forward, and look to return to the NFL as soon as possible.
“We are disappointed with the NFL’s decision,” Tucker representative Rob Roche said in a statement posted on X by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. “(Tucker) has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements.
“In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised (Tucker) to accept this resolution and close this matter.
“The people who know (Tucker) best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband, and friend,” Roche said.

The suspension, which begins August 26, allows Tucker to attend training camp and preseason games if he is signed by a team, but he will be ineligible to play until November 11.
A longtime NFL reporter recently questioned whether Tucker would receive another opportunity in the NFL.
“The NFL’s announcement of a 10-game suspension for Tucker could spell the end of his career,” Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated said. “He’ll be 36 in November, and any team signing him will have to deal with the (public relations) hit. We’ll see if someone sees that as worth it.”

Once known for being the most accurate kicker in NFL history, these allegations could forever tarnish Tucker’s legacy. His 2024 season was statistically his worst. With this suspension hanging over his head, Tucker’s path back to the field remains uncertain.
Whether any franchise will take a chance on the embattled kicker remains to be seen. For now, one of the NFL’s all-time greatest kickers is on the outside looking in.
