The Arizona Cardinals started off the season in excellent fashion, going 2-0 and looking utterly dominant. However, a heartbreaking loss to the San Francisco 49ers set them back in Week 3. They will look to right the ship when the Seattle Seahawks come to the State Farm Stadium to kick off Week 4 with a clash on Thursday Night Football. However, as we dive deeper into the season, injuries are starting to pile up for every squad.
Neither of these two teams has been fully safe in that regard. With different ailments affecting the roster from top to bottom, they won’t be walking into Thursday with their full regimen. However, a chance to compete for the one-seed, assuming San Francisco loses this week, is hanging in the balance for the two sides. But who is going to make the cut and who is going to be declared inactive for their Week 4 clash?

Arguably, the biggest name that the Cardinals are going to miss is running back James Conner. A wildly productive investment for the franchise in 2021, Conner’s numbers have consistently improved. However, a gruesome ankle injury brought an end to his season last week. In his absence, Trey Benson is expected to be elevated to the RB1 spot.

The last few years have gone virtually the same way for Arizona. Despite a hot start, the team isn’t able to sustain the momentum, ultimately ending up as a middle-of-the-pack squad in the NFC.
As they try to continue to buck that trend, Week 4 offers a good chance for the franchise to get back on the right track. Unveiling a new rivalries jersey, the night could be the perfect storm for the Cardinals to turn the tide in their favor.

There were many questions about how Seattle would fare after replacing Geno Smith with Sam Darnold. However, over the past three weeks, they’ve done a good job of proving the doubters wrong.
Not only has the defense been excellent, but the offense has more than held its own with Darnold continuing his excellent work from the 2024 campaign and assuaging doubts about the year with the Minnesota Vikings being a fluke.
