The first week of the NFL season was about as good as the league or the fan base could have hoped for. With instant classics, competitive games, and dominating performances, the opening weekend had all that fans could ask for. However, the league will be hoping for an even better sequel than the original. Thankfully, they have the perfect pairing as two NFC contenders kick off proceedings for Week 2 on Thursday Night Football.
After winning their opening games, the Green Bay Packers and the Washington Commanders have to be feeling pretty confident in their teams. Both rosters had a dominant showing in their respective games, further cementing their status as contenders. But when they take the field against each other in Lambeau Field, which players are not going to be available?

They’ll look to continue that hot streak this week. After two consecutive postseason berths with Jordan Love, the arrival of Parsons could uplift the Packers into the upper echelons of the league.

For the Commanders, it hasn’t been the same level of continued success as the Packers. From four wins in 2023, the franchise turned on its head after drafting Jayden Daniels, immediately reaching the NFC Championship Game in his rookie season.
As a result, the organization was willing to go all-in this offseason to further improve the roster and take that next step towards Super Bowl contention. Week 1 was a tremendous success, but the real challenge arrives in Week 2 in the form of the Packers.
