2026 NFL preseason Week 2 schedule, dates, TV coverage, and streaming options, including how fans can watch every exhibition matchup.

The 2026 NFL preseason started with plenty of drama on Aug. 6, when the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers took the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game down to the final second.

Then, Week 1 kept that energy going, leaving fans ready for another night of football. However, anyone checking Wednesday’s slate will find it empty.

Are There Any Preseason NFL Games Today?

With no preseason games scheduled for tonight, football fans must wait one more day for the league to return.

Teams are using the midweek window for training camp work, roster decisions, and position battles. So, while there is no game to watch tonight, the buildup toward Week 2 is already underway.

That anticipation makes sense after Week 1 delivered plenty of storylines across the league. Rookie debuts, quarterback competitions, and deep roster evaluations shaped the opening slate.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the New York Jets 24-16, with rookie cornerback Ayden Garnes turning heads on a 47-yard pick-six. Meanwhile, fourth-round quarterback Cade Klubnik offered encouraging signs while starting for New York.

Elsewhere, Malik Willis led the Miami Dolphins on a sharp 93-yard opening scoring drive before the Washington Commanders pulled away for a 20-7 victory.

The Cincinnati Bengals then edged the Detroit Lions 16-14, while the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts finished 13-13 after New England missed a 49-yard field goal late.

Out west, undrafted running back Amar Johnson became a major talking point for the Los Angeles Chargers. He scored twice as Los Angeles cruised past the Houston Texans 27-7.

The Tennessee Titans held off the San Francisco 49ers 19-13 despite rookie wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling catching seven passes.
