NFL Fans’ Priceless Reactions to Dolphins Trading Ramsey to the Steelers

Ramsey will see a $1.5 million raise in his contract as the Steelers owe him $26.6 million for the 2025 season. Ramsey’s three-year, $72.3 million deal with the Dolphins was set to begin in 2026, but the two sides mutually agreed that a trade was worth exploring. Their answer was sending Ramsey and TE Jonnu Smith to the Steelers for Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.

Fans were excited about the pickup, with one saying, “This might be an all time defense.”

The Steelers lost Fitzpatrick but still have the depth to make up for it. Another fan commented, “Omg let’s gooo. Super Bowl is back on,” as the team has high aspirations to go along with the addition of Aaron Rodgers earlier this month.

A few shoutouts were given by another fan to general manager Omar Khan and assistant GM Andy Weidl: “Omar Khan, you will never have a hater in me. Dude is taking swings and that’s all I’ve asked for out of a GM. Shoutout to Weidl as well.”

“WOW,” another fan commented. “[Darius Slay Jr.] on one side, Ramsey on the other and you still have [Joey] Porter Jr.”

It’s an incredible trio at defensive back, which shows their depth even with Fitzpatrick being dealt in the trade.

Someone else added, “Mike Tomlin just won’t fail. I’m so tired of this bro.”

Tomlin’s record speaks for itself, even though he has lacked playoff wins in recent years. It’s clear that he and the Steelers are trying to change that, as 2025 could be a make-or-break season for the team. “They’re definitely in win now mode,” said one more fan; “Steelers defense remains the answer,” another said.

The addition of Ramsey brings a player who finished the 2024 season with 60 total tackles. He had a pair of interceptions last season, as his career total climbs to 24. His 60 tackles were down from the numbers he put up in 2021 and 2022, but Ramsey was returning for his first full season after missing the start of 2023, where he played in a career-low 10 games due to injury.
