The NFL Draft is finally here, and as always, it’s not just about the rookies. With front offices working the phones and cap space playing a bigger role than ever, veteran trades and player-for-pick deals could steal the show.
Adam Schefter, one of the most plugged-in insiders in the game, unveiled key trade candidates in his “2025 NFL Draft Notes, Intel” column for ESPN+. Schefter listed 19 players who could be on the move this week — and the names range from young disappointments to star-caliber veterans.
Adam Schefter’s 19 Trade Block Names Include George Pickens, Kirk Cousins
Whether it’s teams cutting bait on former high draft picks or contenders trying to shed salary or get younger, Schefter’s list offers a glimpse into the decisions that could shake up the league.
1) Will Levis, QB, Titans
Levis didn’t take the leap Tennessee hoped for. With the Titans eyeing Cam Ward in the NFL Draft, he could be on the way out after just one year.
2) Treylon Burks, WR, Titans
Injuries and inconsistency have defined Burks’ young career. He’s shown flashes but hasn’t stayed healthy. A fresh start could be in play.
3) Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Giants
A surprising name here. Thibodeaux has 21 career sacks, but with a new regime in New York, nothing’s off the table.
4) Evan Neal, OL, Giants
Neal has struggled mightily at tackle. His draft pedigree might still get him another shot elsewhere, but the Giants may be ready to move on.
5) Jalin Hyatt, WR, Giants
Hyatt had a quiet start to his young career. With the Giants looking to overhaul their offense, he could be a part of a larger trade package.
6) Sam Howell, QB, Seahawks
Once viewed as the Washington Commanders’ possible starter, Howell is now a QB3 in Seattle. If a team wants to take a flier, the Seahawks may listen.
7) Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Raiders
The former top-10 pick had a disappointing start to his career. The Raiders could be willing to move him if the return helps fill other holes.
8) Greg Newsome II, CB, Browns
Newsome is a solid slot corner but might be the odd man out in Cleveland’s secondary. Could be a fit for a CB-needy contender.
9) Travis Etienne Jr., RB, Jaguars
Etienne is a weapon when healthy, but Jacksonville has added depth behind him. A trade would be a surprise, but not out of the question.
10) Odafe Oweh, EDGE, Ravens
Inconsistent production and injuries have limited Oweh’s impact. Baltimore could look to cash out before the final year of his rookie deal.
11) George Pickens, WR, Steelers
A fiery competitor with big-play ability, but also off-field tension. With Pittsburgh possibly targeting a receiver in the draft, Pickens’ name hitting the block is notable.
12) Rachaad White, RB, Bucs
White was a volume back in 2024, but the Bucs may want more explosiveness. A team needing a pass-catching RB could come calling.
13) Kayshon Boutte, WR, Patriots
Boutte never gained traction in New England. A low-risk trade candidate for a team looking to add a developmental WR.
14) Jalen Ramsey, CB, Dolphins
Still a big name, but age and salary are catching up. If Miami wants cap relief, Ramsey could be moved despite solid play.
15) Jaire Alexander, CB, Packers
Injuries have slowed him, but Alexander is still elite when healthy. A surprise trade if it happens, but Green Bay has depth and could sell high.
16) Kirk Cousins, QB, Falcons
A year after his historic free agency deal in 2024, Cousins wants out, with second-year signal-caller Michael Penix Jr. taking over the starting role. The Falcons have been consistent in their message that they do not have to part ways with the veteran. It could be a wild twist if Cousins becomes part of a draft-day blockbuster.
17) Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles
Goedert is productive but expensive. Philly might be looking to get younger and cheaper with multiple holes to fill.
18) Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens
A fan favorite and Lamar Jackson’s go-to guy, but if Baltimore wants to retool its offense or gain cap space, Andrews could be a shocking trade chip.
19) Trey Hendrickson, EDGE, Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals granted Hendrickson’s request to seek a trade in March. Still productive and could fetch a decent return from a contender in need of pass-rush help.
