Often considered to be the premier event of the NFL Combine, the 40-yard dash is one that many people tune in to see. Whether it is the speed of the wide receivers or the jaw-dropping athleticism of 300-plus pound offensive and defensive linemen, from a viewing perspective, the event rarely fails to provide something for viewers.
However, the all-important part for many is the final NFL Combine 40 times for each invitee across the four days of testing. Below is a full list of all the NFL Combine 40-yard dash results from the 2023 event in Indianapolis.
Who Had the Fastest 40-Yard Dash at the 2023 NFL Combine?
During the 2023 NFL Combine, the fastest 40-yard dash was run by Michigan cornerback DJ Turner. Not only was his 4.26 the fastest of any player at this year’s event, but it also clocked in as being tied for the fifth-fastest 40-yard dash result of all time.
After accruing two interceptions and seven pass deflections in 2021, Turner put up a pick-six and 10 pass deflections in his 2022 campaign with the Wolverines. PFN Draft Analyst Ian Cummings broke down Turner’s potential in his scouting report saying:
“Turner grades just outside the top 50 in the 2023 NFL Draft class. He’s a top-10 CB prospect in a very strong positional group. And taking his scheme versatility and alignment flexibility into account, he’s worth consideration as early as late Round 1 and early Round 2.”
