Week 16 betting lines for each NFL game are set . . . for now. As we know, things can and often will change — sometimes dramatically based on injuries, weather, and once-a-century locust infestations.
The following betting odds are for picks against the spread, moneylines, and over/unders based on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Early NFL Week 16 Odds
Each week of the NFL season features the expected, the moderately unexpected, and the completely unexpected. When betting on point spreads and moneylines, we need to focus on the first two outcomes. With that in mind, here are each Week 16 game’s betting options.
Jets vs. Jaguars | Thursday
- Jets Odds: -1
- Jaguars Odds: +1
- Moneyline: -115 / -105
- Over/Under: 39.5
For all of Zach Wilson’s current limitations, he faced five tough pass defenses in his previous five starts before getting a reprieve against the Lions. Statistically, the Jaguars’ pass defense is no better.
MORE: New York Jets Playoff Scenarios
As a result, this has the makings of a surprisingly offensive-minded contest between two teams that are still squarely in the postseason hunt. Ironically, the 7-7 Jets probably need this one more than the 6-8 Jags. Why? Because there’s still a clear path for Jacksonville if they beat Houston and Tennessee to close out the season.
Bears vs. Bills | Saturday
- Bears Odds: +8.5
- Bills Odds: -8.5
- Moneyline: +300 / -365
- Over/Under: 40.5
Seven of the Bears’ 10 losses have been by a touchdown or less. There’s still a rawness and one-dimensionality to their offense. It’s largely Justin Fields or bust (although David Montgomery certainly has stepped up). Chicago’s inexplicable refusal to upgrade at WR has hampered Fields’ development through the air — though his elevation on the ground is unrivaled.
This will be a fascinating matchup, as there are shades of Fields in Josh Allen circa 2018. We might be watching the dawn of a perennial NFC powerhouse as soon as 2025.
Chiefs vs. Seahawks | Saturday
- Chiefs Odds: -9.5
- Seahawks Odds: +9.5
- Moneyline: -410 / +330
- Over/Under: 49
This is expected to be a high-scoring affair, and why not? The Chiefs’ defense has strangely imploded against Houston and Denver these past two weeks, while their offense looks practically better than ever. Amazingly, Patrick Mahomes has racked up 3+ TDs in 38 of 77 starts (49%).

Meanwhile, Seattle has lost four of five, all by a touchdown or less. The loss of Tyler Lockett will be painful, as their star receiver has dropped only one pass in his last two seasons. As well as Marquise Goodwin has played, Geno Smith must elevate his game at a most inconvenient time.
Titans vs. Texans | Saturday
- Titans Odds: -7
- Texans Odds: +7
- Moneyline: -300 / +250
- Over/Under: 38.5
How does a one-win team travel to Dallas without their top two receivers and lead with less than a minute remaining? How does this same team — now also playing without their bell-cow running back — take the Chiefs to overtime?
The Texans are the most enigmatic 1-12-1 team in the history of professional sports. And they’re facing a Titans squad that is enigmatic in an entirely different way, dramatically underperforming thanks to an almost non-existent passing game. Truly, anything can happen in this faceoff.
Patriots vs. Bengals | Saturday
- Patriots Odds: +4
- Bengals Odds: -4
- Moneyline: +155 / -180
- Over/Under: 40
When I’m old and gray (i.e. sometime next month), I’ll still be telling my children the story of Jakobi Meyers pulling the greatest blunder since J.R. Smith in Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals. It’s easy to feel sad for Meyers, who’s been a revelation since signing as an undrafted free agent three years ago.
But now the Patriots must deal with the consequences of their No. 1 WR literally (and laterally) throwing away a shot at moving to 8-6. Instead, they’re 7-7 with the Bengals, Dolphins, and Bills left on their docket. For all intents and purposes, New England’s ability to bounce back in Week 16 probably will determine their postseason fate.
Vikings vs. Giants | Saturday
- Vikings Odds: -3.5
- Giants Odds: +3.5
- Moneyline: -180 / +155
- Over/Under: 47.5
Minnesota’s coming off the largest NFL comeback in history, while New York’s coming off an emotionally charged road win to keep them entrenched in the playoff hunt.
MORE: NFL Playoff Picture Week 16
This could be an epic battle between two teams that might meet in the postseason’s opening round. The Vikings have the depth and dynamism of an offense with no apparent weaknesses. The Giants have Saquon Barkley and a defense that can play at near-elite levels.
Browns vs. Saints | Saturday
- Browns Odds: -3.5
- Saints Odds: +3.5
- Moneyline: -170 / +145
- Over/Under: 34
Had Cleveland lost to Baltimore on Saturday, we might be wondering if the 5-9 Browns would risk trotting out their $250 million (guaranteed) investment in a potentially meaningless game. Deshaun Watson surely would have meant more to this team in 2023 than in Week 16 of 2022.
But the Browns’ victory changes the complexion of this contest versus the still-alive Saints. Watson is still reacclimating. Presumably, Cleveland’s offense will continue to gel. Their hope is to finish strong. And as long as they keep winning, they’ve got the offensive personnel to make noise in the playoffs.
Panthers vs. Lions | Saturday
- Panthers Odds: +3
- Lions Odds: -3
- Moneyline: +140 / -165
- Over/Under: 44
The Lions are like tuba players; it’s easy to root for them.
Seriously, when was the last time you met someone who professed, “I hate the Lions.” They’ve made the postseason only three times this century, and they’ve won only one playoff game in their last 13 tries, dating back to 1963.
Somehow, they and the mostly abandoned Panthers are still fighting for a Wild Card berth. A Detroit win might put them in the driver’s seat with two winnable games remaining (Bears and Packers). The 5-9 Panthers, meanwhile, already control their destiny: win these final three games, and they’re in.
Ravens vs. Falcons | Saturday
- Ravens Odds: -7
- Falcons Odds: +7
- Moneyline: -300 / +250
- Over/Under: 39.5
There’s plenty of chaos looming over this game — from Lamar Jackson’s injury, to Mark Andrews’ slump, to the second start of Desmond Ridder’s promising career, to (of course) dramatic playoff implications.
The X-factor might be J.K. Dobbins, who’s playing like the elite RB we couldn’t wait to see last season before he tore his ACL in August. At his best, Dobbins is a transformational weapon . . . someone who can lift Baltimore to the next level. But if the 5-9 Falcons end their three-game slide, as strange as it sounds, they’ll have a decent shot at winning the NFC South.
49ers vs. Commanders | Saturday
- 49ers Odds: -7
- Commanders Odds: +7
- Moneyline: -325 / +270
- Over/Under: 39.5
Is Washington’s storybook 2022 season over? After they went 6-1-1 since Week 6 to climb into playoff contention, a home loss to the Giants has put them behind the eight ball, especially with the Niners, Browns, and Cowboys remaining on their schedule.
San Francisco boasts the league’s top defense across various metrics. And the shocking proficiency of rookie Brock Purdy has the 49ers confident heading into the home stretch. Washington will need to thrive on the ground and play some of their best defense of the year.
Cowboys vs. Eagles | Saturday
- Cowboys Odds: -2
- Eagles Odds: +2
- Moneyline: -125 / +105
- Over/Under: 51
With so much at stake for so many teams in Week 16, this Cowboys-Eagles battle might not have the same allure, especially with Philly all but assured of the NFC East title.
But these two teams could meet again in the postseason. If the season ended now, the Cowboys would play the Bucs in the opening round. They could end up facing Atlanta, Carolina, or New Orleans instead. Then, off to Philly for a shot at the NFC Championship Game.
So both teams probably will use this game to size up their opponent, not unlike what the Giants employed in 2007 when facing the undefeated Patriots starters in the final game of the regular season.
Steelers vs. Raiders | Saturday
- Steelers Odds: -3
- Raiders Odds: +3
- Moneyline: -145 / +125
- Over/Under: 40
Another game, another faceoff with playoff implications. Despite both teams sporting 6-8 records, the winner will keep their hopes alive, especially if the 8-6 Chargers and/or 8-6 Dolphins lose.
Keep close tabs on Kenny Pickett’s availability, who I believe remains Pittsburgh’s best short-term and long-term bet for a well-executing offense. Also, be mindful of the recent return of Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller. The Raiders are finally (mostly) healthy, and on paper, they have one of the most explosive offenses in the AFC.
Dolphins vs. Packers | Sunday
- Dolphins Odds: -4
- Packers Odds: +4
- Moneyline: -195 / +165
- Over/Under: 46.5
Monday Night Football in Week 15 (Packers vs. Rams) might alter the betting lines for Week 16. A dominant showing by Green Bay could tighten the point spread. A serious injury might widen it, while also perhaps reducing the over/under.
Based on what we know Monday afternoon, the Dolphins will try to end a three-game slide. But here’s some context: most teams would have had trouble facing the Niners, Chargers, and Bills — three brutal road contests in a 13-day span.
Rams vs. Broncos | Sunday
- Rams Odds: +1.5
- Broncos Odds: -1.5
- Moneyline: +100 / -120
- Over/Under: 35.5
See directly above. There are scenarios we can’t yet work through without knowing what happens Monday night. For now, we might anticipate that the defending champions could feed rookie Kyren Williams more and that they might target Tutu Atwell more. Both guys could play meaningful roles in 2023.

For Denver, will Russell Wilson and Courtland Sutton return? And can the 32-year-old Latavius Murray dominate again? Four months ago, this might have looked like a preview of a potential Super Bowl matchup. Now, it’s more about which stout defense steps up.
Cardinals vs. Buccaneers | Sunday
- Cardinals Odds: +4.5
- Buccaneers Odds: -4.5
- Moneyline: +180 / -120
- Over/Under: 41
In the middle of last season, Arizona was 7-0, and the Bucs were the defending Super Bowl champs. Clearly, a lot’s changed.
Coming off a three-turnover third quarter on Sunday while his team blew a 17-0 lead, Tom Brady no longer has the benefit of the doubt among bettors. While the 4-10 Cardinals are looking ahead to next season — and potentially significant offseason changes — Tampa Bay still controls their playoff destiny . . . while also being hyper-aware that they, too, might look entirely different in 2023.
Colts vs. Chargers | Monday
- Colts Odds: +3.5
- Chargers Odds: -3.5
- Moneyline: +150 / -175
- Over/Under: 47
Only a few weeks after the Colts fired head coach Frank Reich, the Vikings one-upped Reich’s nearly 30-year record for the biggest NFL comeback. It’s a fitting footnote to one of the most disappointing NFL campaigns in years. Indy has been one great QB away from being a Super Bowl contender for three years. Next year, they’ll once again start from scratch.
With Jonathan Taylor out, L.A. will have one less thing to worry about. The finally healthy Chargers are beginning to peak at the perfect time. The Colts have to hope their defense can compensate for their offense’s limitations.
