NFL Analyst Predicts the Browns Will Skip Picking a QB This Year in Arch Manning’s Anticipation

The Arch Manning hype train is like no other. The Texas Longhorns quarterback is already predicted by many to lead the team to a national championship title and is expected to win the Heisman Trophy in 2025.

However, Manning’s hype isn’t just attributed to his last name. He was a five-star high school recruit and showcased his talent this year during his limited time on the field.

Manning started two games this year — both of which the Longhorns won — leaving fans excited about the team’s future. But that’s not all. A struggling NFL franchise might already have a plan for the Texas quarterback.

NFL Analyst Predicts the Cleveland Browns’ Plan for Arch Manning

Sports Illustrated’s Conor Orr predicts that the Browns, who still need a franchise quarterback, will skip picking one this year and will look to find a replacement for Myles Garrett instead.

Orr stated that the Browns have their names on the list of most horrendous decisions in recent history, but it is to be noted that the franchise likes to play the long game.

The NFL analyst also pointed out that Miami Hurricanes’ Cam Ward isn’t what the Browns need and that replacing Garrett at the defensive end position is a priority. Hence, the franchise will look at the bigger picture and wait for the light at the end of a long, unsuccessful season in 2025.

“The Browns won’t take a quarterback in this year’s draft and will instead draft Myles Garrett’s replacement,” Orr said. “Say what you will about the thought collective running this team, which has their names on a series of the most horrendous decisions in recent NFL history and somehow gets a pass for it, but they do think big.

“And I don’t think Cam Ward is the ultimate prize here. Trading Garrett after the draft, which designates him as a post–June 1 cut and minimizes some of the dead money, will arm Cleveland for a run at the bigger prize looming at the end of this long and sordid path at some point in the distant future: A Manning to pair with family friend and owner Jimmy Haslam.”

The 2025 NFL Draft will take place from April 24 to April 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Ward are projected to be the top-picked players.
