NFL fans have high expectations for the Baltimore Ravens entering the 2025 season. Much of that optimism centers around the star-studded pairing of quarterback Lamar Jackson and veteran running back Derrick Henry. After a strong 2024 campaign, Fox Sports analyst Chris Broussard has made a bold prediction about what’s ahead for the four-time All-Pro.

NFL Analyst Predicts Big Year for Ravens RB Derrick Henry
Henry signed a two-year, $16 million deal with the Ravens last offseason and delivered an outstanding 2024 season. He rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns while averaging a career-high 5.9 yards per carry. His 18 total touchdowns from scrimmage tied his career-best mark from 2019, reestablishing him as one of the league’s top backs. Despite turning 32 by the time the 2025 playoffs begin, Henry is expected to remain a key piece of Baltimore’s offensive plans.
Broussard believes this may be Henry’s last elite year.
“This could be the last great year by Derrick Henry,” he said during a segment on “First Things First.”
“It’s possible, it’s on the table, maybe it’s not a great year. But I think this could be his last great year, which could mean his last chance to win a Super Bowl.”

Baltimore finished 2024 as AFC North champions but fell short of their ultimate goal, suffering a 27–25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round. Jackson posted the best statistical season of his career: 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, just four interceptions, and a 119.6 passer rating. Still, MVP voters leaned toward Josh Allen, whose team had a better regular season record.
Broussard said Jackson is under mounting pressure to deliver a Super Bowl title.
“I think he’s probably under the most pressure of any player in the league to win a Super Bowl,” Broussard said. “It’s him and Josh. Not necessarily next year, but at some point he has got to win.”
Looking ahead to 2025, Broussard likes Baltimore’s chances to exceed expectations. He highlighted their upcoming matchups: “Home against Bears, Lions, Pats, Jets, Texans, Rams. So that’s an easy home schedule.”
He acknowledged the more challenging road games — against the Bills, Packers, Dolphins, Vikin,gs and Chiefs — but ultimately said, “This is an easy over. They are… the most reliable regular season team in football.”
With a dominant run game and a dependable defense, the Ravens look ready for another deep playoff run. If Henry stays healthy and productive, 2025 might really be his last best shot at a Super Bowl ring.
