The 2025 NFL Draft is less than a month away now, and the New York Giants are one of the more intriguing teams to watch in the first round. New York owns the third overall pick in the draft. However, the Giants signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency, potentially throwing a wrench into any NFL mock draft chaos.
PFSN’s latest seven-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from Brentley Weissman breaks down all of the Giants’ picks, and it sees them land some very intriguing pieces. Let’s go over their 2025 NFL Draft haul and see how each player fits with this team.

3) Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Despite signing Winston and Wilson, the Giants stick with a quarterback in PFSN’s 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
“The New York Giants have signed Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson, so why would they take Sanders? The answer is simple: Neither Winston nor Wilson will be the answer, and the Giants must take a swing when given the opportunity,” Weissman wrote of this selection.
Shedeur Sanders certainly makes sense in that he is a long-term option. He is naturally accurate with his passes and can throw into tight windows. He isn’t the most athletic quarterback out there, but he brings some very intriguing upside to the position. Sitting behind two veterans could do his NFL career wonders.
34) Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
With their second-round selection, the Giants add some depth to their pass rush.
“The Kayvon Thibodeaux experiment has been so/so at best, and the team will surely need him to step up to see a return on investment. That said, adding another pass rusher makes a lot of sense, and Nic Scourton has juice off the edge to get to the quarterback,” Weissman wrote of this pick.
Scourton does indeed seem like a good fit, especially if Thibodeaux is wearing thin on the front office. He is one of the youngest players in this draft. In fact, he will only be 20 years old on draft night. He is incredibly explosive with unbelievable bend for his size. This is a player who could become a starter in short order for New York.
65) Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
The Giants use this selection to add some depth to the receiver room. “Tre Harris would give the Giants a big and athletic target to play alongside Malik Nabers. He offers a very good catch radius and is physical after the catch,” Weissman wrote.
The Giants are looking to build around Nabers after his historic campaign. Wan’Dale Robinson had a respectable season as the No. 2 receiver. Adding Harris to the room could give New York two receivers with intriguing upside. And it would provide Nabers more support in the passing game.
99) Jake Briningstool, TE, Clemson
After picking a receiver, New York gives their new quarterbacks a new tight end to work with. “Jake Briningstool does everything well but nothing spectacular. He is a reliable receiver and a capable blocker and can line up all across the formation. He could make for a nice duo with Theo Johnson in 12 personnel,” Weissman wrote.
Briningstool may not be an elite player at any one thing. However, he is very reliable in certain areas. His size makes him a red-zone threat in the passing game. His speed also makes him a deep threat in the middle of the field. If he can add a bit of muscle, the Clemson product could be a very successful player at the NFL level.
105) Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee
The Giants kick off Day 3 by adding to their depth on the interior defensive line. New York has Dexter Lawrence II at one tackle spot. However, they could use some talented youth alongside him. Omarr Norman-Lott has a good motor to win his reps and pick up coverage sacks. He also flashes impressive upper-body strength to stop the run. This is not a bad depth pick up at this point in the draft.
154) Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina
The Giants lost Azeez Ojulari in NFL free agency, not an entirely unexpected development. As a result, they could stand to add some linebacker depth. Demetrius Knight Jr. is an intriguing prospect late in this Giants mock draft. He has impressive awareness and play recognition on defense. And he does well in zone coverage. However, his upside might be a bit limited at the next level.
219) Cody Simon, LB, Ohio State
The Giants continue adding depth to the linebacker room with the selection of Cody Simon. Simon is a decent prospect with respectable instincts and awareness. He can slip blocks and pursue tackles to the wide side of the field. But he is very much a project. It’s not the worst pick to make in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
246) Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana
This Giants’ mock draft ends with New York doubling up on the quarterback position. After selecting Sanders in the first round, they take Rourke here. Rourke has size and collegiate production on his size. However, he might top out as a backup in the NFL. This pick would give New York five quarterbacks — Rourke, Sanders, Wilson, Winston, and Tommy DeVito. Something may need to give in that room if the team takes a late-round project here.
