NBA World Reacts To Russell Westbrook’s Performance
Here’s what people were saying about Westbrook’s performance:
Kings reporter James Ham wrote, “3. Revenge game? Russell Westbrook’s year and a half with the Lakers didn’t go all that well. He looked motivated back in his old stomping grounds, even if it led to some forced action early. Westbrook posted 14 points, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds.”
Matt George of Sactown Sports 1140 added, “I do love to see Russell Westbrook always pulling Maxime Raynaud aside to talk with him through where to go. Nobody has benefited from playing with Russ more than Max.”
@LakeShowYo joked, “Westbrook hoopin like he still plays for the Lakers 😭”
Former FS1 star Skip Bayless wrote, “At home tonight, the Los Angeles Lakers are doing exactly what they should be doing against the NBA’s worst team featuring Russell Westbrick (predictably 1-7 from 3). That crowd has seen THAT before.”
Westbrook had come into the night with averages of 15.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 43.1% from the field and 33.8% from three-point range in 56 games.

On the other hand, the Lakers improved to 36-24 in 60 games, putting them in sixth seed in the Western Conference. They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and 5-5 over their last ten).
