Luka Dončić made NBA history during Monday's game between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers.

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Phoenix Suns in California.

Luka Dončić got off to a fantastic start to the game with 25 points, three rebounds and two assists while shooting 9/15 from the field and 2/5 from three-point range in his first 16 minutes of playing time.

Luka Dončić Made NBA History In Suns-Lakers Game

Dončić also made NBA history with his strong start to the game.

Via Real Sports: “Luka Doncic is now tied for the 4th most 20-point quarters in recorded history.”

Dončić came into the night with incredible averages of 35.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field and 33.9% from three-point range in 15 games.

The six-time NBA All-Star is in his first full season with Los Angeles.

Via NBA Communications (on Monday): “Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić and New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 6 of the 2025-26 season (Nov. 24-30).”

Dončić and the Lakers are one of the top teams in the NBA with a 15-4 record in 19 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference.

They are also in the middle of a seven-game winning streak.

Most recently, the Lakers beat the beat the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 133-121.

Dončić was the third pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

He is in his eighth season, and has career averages of 28.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field and 35.0% from three-point range in 465 games.

Following the Suns, the Lakers will play their next game on Thursday night when they visit Brandon Ingram and the Toronto Raptors in Canada.

They are 8-2 in ten games played outside of Los Angeles.
