LeBron James Made His Feelings Clear About Former Lakers Star Brandon Ingram

LeBron James spoke about his former teammate (with the Los Angeles Lakers) Brandon Ingram.

On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors (in Canada) by a score of 123-120.

Despite the loss, 2020 NBA All-Star Brandon Ingram finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and one block while shooting 10/23 from the field.

After the game, LeBron James was asked about his former teammate (Ingram).

James (h/t Omer Osman and Spectrum SportsNet): “Unbelievable talent. I had him my first year in LA… He was a young stud then. Seasoned vet now, super mature now, his game is mature. He’s gotten better and better.”

Ingram and James spent the 2018-19 season together on the Lakers.

However, they missed the NBA playoffs (and Ingram was then sent to New Orleans in the blockbuster deal for Anthony Davis).

He is currently in his first season playing for the Raptors, and has averages of 21.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 29.5% from three-point range in 23 games.

Ingram was the second pick in the 2016 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball at Duke.

He has played 11 seasons for the Lakers, Pelicans and Raptors.

His career averages are 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field and 36.0% from three-point range in 518 games.

As for James, he is in his eighth season playing for the Lakers.

He finished Thursday’s victory with eight points, six rebounds and 11 assists while shooting 4/17 from the field in 36 minutes of playing time.

The Lakers improved to 16-5 in 21 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, the Raptors dropped to 15-8 in 23 games, which has them as the third seed in the Eastern Conference.

The two teams will have one more matchup on January 18 in Los Angeles.
