According to ESPN’s Shams Charania: “Golden State Warriors forward Gui Santos has signed a three-year, $15 million contract extension with the franchise, sources tell ESPN. The deal includes a player option in 2028-29.”

The deal rewards Santos’ steady development and provides Golden State with cost-controlled depth as it fights to solidify its playoff position, currently sitting eighth in the Western Conference at 31-28 through 59 games.
Santos was selected No. 55 in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Warriors are coming off a 133-112 road victory over the Grizzlies in Memphis, where Santos finished with 17 points, three rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block while shooting 6-of-7 from the field and 1-of-2 from three-point range in 26 minutes. This season, he is averaging 6.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 53.1% from the field and 39.0% from three-point range in 48 games.

Following the Lakers, the Warriors will play their next game on Monday, hosting the LA Clippers.
