After Devin Booker, Ben Simmons was the latest to shade his ex-girlfriend, Kendall Jenner, in his latest Super Bowl ad for Sleeper, alongside Tiffany Haddish.
The commercial saw Simmons and Haddish play emotional injury specialists, called ‘The Ex-communicators’. The move comes on the back of Jenner poking fun at her exes in a Fanatics Sportsbook ad last week.
Ben Simmons Shades Ex-girlfriend Kendall Jenner in Viral Sleeper Commercial
Wasting no time after Jenner’s ad, Ben Simmons teamed up with Haddish for the new brand commercial. “Have you or someone you know been injured emotionally in a high-profile relationship?”Haddish asks, before the former Philadelphia 76ers star chimes in, “Are your exes snubbing you in commercials?”
The clip also featured marquee names, including Kayla Nicole, who took a dig at former partner Travis Kelce. Also featured are Ace Green and rapper Offset, who take subtle shots at their exes, even while they do not vouch for Simmons and Haddish’s services.
Earlier, Jenner garnered attention for trolling her athlete exes. She was seen throwing a lit match into a bin filled with basketball jerseys, and later walked into her mansion, where photos of her ex-boyfriends had her head scratched out.
“While the world has been talking about it, I’ve been betting on it,” Jenner remarks in the commerical, while adding, “How else do you think I could afford all of this? Modeling?”
Jenner has been linked with Simmons, Booker, Kyle Kuzma, Jordan Clarkson, and Blake Griffin over the years. According to reports, Simmons and Jenner were dating in 2018. They were reportedly on and off before ending their relationship a year later.
On the season front, Simmons has yet to sign with any team and is aiming for an NBA return either later this season or in the upcoming 2026-27 season. The guard has missed significant time on the floor with a series of injuries. He last took the floor for the Los Angeles Clippers the previous season.
Speaking to The Athletic’s Sam Jane, Simmons continues to harbour hopes for a return. Per the report, “he is training in Los Angeles to become ‘bulletproof’ to avoid further setbacks.”
“I’m about to be 30 years old, and I need to make the best decision for Ben Simmons,” he said of the criticism on his durability and performance over the years.
“It’s not fun going out there, not being able to move, not being able to jump, or, you know, take hits. There’s no fun in that. Sometimes you’ve got to decide based on how you feel and what’s best for yourself. And that’s what I’ve done, and it’s not for everybody to really understand, because they’re not in my shoes.”
For now, Simmons is turning a viral jab into a sharp punchline all while plotting his comeback on his own timeline.
