Super Bowl 60 has been a bit lackluster on the field. The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks have each struggled mightily on offense, and although the defenses have been excellent, that has not been enough to make the game very exciting. Although the on-field entertainment has not been there, as always, the commercials have been extremely fun.
One commercial poked fun at a well-known sports curse, this one being around Kendall Jenner.
Super Bowl Commercial Highlights Kendall Jenner’s Sports Curse
Among all the sports curses in history, one of the most well-known today is the Jenner/Kardashian curse. To put it simply, when an athlete dates a member of the Jenner/Kardashian family, their play immediately declines, and it can be catastrophic for their career.
Obviously, this is just a theory, but it actually happens sometimes. For some odd reason, players’ performance actually declines once they start dating a Jenner/Kardashian.
With this all in mind, of course, the Jenners/Kardashians know about this fun theory around them.
So, in a fun moment, Fanatics Sportsbook took that conspiracy theory and turned it into a commercial. As the spokesperson, Kendall talked about how the internet thinks she is cursed and how every basketball player who dates her hits a “rough patch” after.
She then jokes that all her money, not from her modeling career, comes from betting on her boyfriends’ decline in play. Because of the curse, she knew it was going to happen.
Although she is clearly joking about the curse and betting on it, the fun commercial does bring up the conspiracy as a whole. Fans of every sport around the world can take a deep breath of relief because Jenner is currently not dating any athletes.
Even if no athlete is at risk, let’s look at some former basketball players Jenner has dated/been associated with.

- Former Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin
- Former Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons
- Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker
Although the decline in play is not as drastic for most of the other members’ past boyfriends in the Jenner/Kardashian family, some of the ones listed above did see their game take a bit of a hit during the relationship.
Again, this is just a fun conspiracy theory played for laughs in a commercial, but while the on-field play may not be as exciting as usual, great Super Bowl commercials are always worth watching.
