‘I Know I Have a Lot Left’ — 2-Time All-Star Pens Heartfelt Message to Executives in Hopes of Making NBA Comeback

Former Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo shared a heartfelt message with the NBA world in hopes of making a comeback in 2026.

Victor Oladipo was one of the most electric shooting guards in the late 2010s, helping the Indiana Pacers reach multiple playoff appearances and even going toe-to-toe with LeBron James on several occasions.

After battling a number of injuries, however, the two-time All-Star fell out of the NBA entirely. Now, with the 2026 offseason in full swing, Oladipo shared a heartfelt message with the NBA world in hopes of making a comeback.

Victor Oladipo Shares Heartfelt Message to NBA World

“I’m a free agent. I don’t have an agent right now just me and my family. I know I have a lot left, and I genuinely love this game. I’d rather show you I’m ready than spend my time trying to explain why or flood you with analytics to prove it,” Oladipo tweeted, in the midst of NBA free agency.

“If you’re about winning, value mentorship, and think there could be a fit, you can reach me directly. I’m open to every opportunity right now, I just want to make sure I weigh each one carefully. I can’t wait to share my story.”

Oladipo last played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season. Across 42 regular-season games for the Miami Heat, the veteran guard played 26.3 minutes per game, averaging 10.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds on 39.7% from the field and 33.0% from downtown.

In 2025-26, he returned to pro basketball, spending the season in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd, the Milwaukee Bucks’ affiliate. At age 33, Oladipo appeared in 15 games and started 8 of them, averaging 13.5 points, 3.9 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Oladipo also had a brief three-game stretch with the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association in late 2025. The former All-Star appeared in three pre-season games, which just so happened to come against NBA competition.

Oladipo recorded games of 14 points, 24 points, and 20 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, and San Antonio Spurs, respectively. Unfortunately, as we’ve come to learn, his performance couldn’t quite lead to an NBA opportunity.

All things considered, it’s difficult to imagine Oladipo earning an NBA contract this offseason. He recently turned 34, hasn’t played in the NBA in over 3 years, and remains injury-prone. His inefficient play this past season against weaker competition doesn’t help his case either.

At this stage of the offseason, general managers and executives appear more likely to spend their money and roster spots on high-upside players or proven veterans. Time will tell whether Oladipo’s message is well received, but odds are his NBA career has come to an end.
