Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding dominated headlines recently. After the two made their relationship public a few years ago and then announced their engagement in August 2025, fans of the Kansas City Chiefs legend and the pop superstar had been eagerly anticipating the day.
A ton of celebrities and athletes attended their wedding at Madison Square Garden. For one NFL podcaster, the most shocking names at the ceremony were Mike Vrabel and his wife, Jen, who had a bizarre offseason after the Dianna Russini scandal became a tabloid circus.

From the first mention on the “New Heights” podcast to Swift being on the field for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 58 triumph and Super Bowl 59 heartbreak, Kelce and Swift’s relationship has come a long way.
Even as the couple’s July 3 wedding has come and gone, details from inside the venue remain scarce, given how private the entire ordeal was.
As a result, the rabid fan base knows very little of what went on behind the scenes, as the guests had to sign non-disclosure agreements. However, Vrabel and his wife, Jen, were confirmed to attend the wedding, as they were spotted entering the venue.
This was perhaps the biggest shocker, as Vrabel never coached or played with Kelce, and the New England Patriots head coach is still dealing with one of the bigger NFL scandals in recent memory.
Earlier this offseason, Page Six published photos of Vrabel and NFL insider Dianna Russini at an Arizona resort. Russini ultimately resigned from The Athletic amid speculation about their alleged affair, while Vrabel stepped away from the Patriots on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft to attend counseling with his family. Vrabel and his wife, Jen, are seemingly working to mend their relationship, so their public appearance at the wedding was a surprise.

NFL podcaster Tony Farmer, who has been vigorously covering the Russini-Vrabel scandal, was equally shocked.
“I didn’t even know they were close. I didn’t know that Vrabel was close to Kelce or Taylor Swift,” Farmer said on the “Good Teams Win, Great Teams Cover” podcast. “So that whole thing was a surprise for me. And then the video came out of him and his wife walking to the car.”
Vrabel took some heat for getting into the car before his wife rather than letting her go first or holding the door open for her.
Farmer then cleared the air on a few narratives circulating against him. Given his constant coverage of the scandal (compared to the relative silence of many in sports media), he has received some criticism as well as accusations that he’s chasing clicks or clout.
“By the way, I didn’t retweet that. There are a lot of people who are against me. They’re like, ‘Tony, you’re in this for clicks.’ And I’m like, if I was in this for clicks, wouldn’t I be bashing Mike Vrabel for the way he walked to his limo?” Farmer asked. “I’m trying to stay away from that sort of stuff and focus on what matters to NFL fans, in my opinion.”
It remains to be seen how the rest of the Vrabel-Russini saga will unfold and whether it will impact the Patriots during the season. The Athletic is investigating Russini’s reporting, and the findings should be made public soon.
For now, it looks like the Vrabel family is trying to move on from the scandal altogether.
