NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico and His Family, Children

Tirico’s voice and face are familiar to sports fans, going back to his days as an anchor for ESPN’s “SportsCenter” and other assignments throughout his career. Tirico, though, is supported by his family when he’s not working.

While Tirico is prominent due to his work responsibilities, he’s usually a man who keeps his family out of the limelight. Tirico has been married for more than 30 years to his wife, Debbie. They have two children, a daughter named Cammi and a son named Jordan.

Mike and Debbie met when both attended Syracuse University, a school known for having one of the best broadcasting schools in the United States.

In fact, Tirico actually was sports director for WTVH-TV in Syracuse, N.Y., from 1987-91. While there, Tirico was the play-by-play voice for Syracuse’s football, basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball programs.

Debbie was captain for the Syracuse’s women’s basketball team while she was in school. Debbie graduated from Syracuse with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Then, Debbie went on to the Stern School of Business, where she earned a Master of Business Administration degree.

Other than that, there’s not much more public information about Tirico’s family.

Once Tirico is done calling Super Bowl 60, he’s not going to be finished for the night. Tirico actually is the main host of NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage. He’s going to be hosting “Primetime in Milan” from field level at Levi’s Stadium. It will begin Tirico’s fifth Olympics as NBC’s primetime host.

For a whole generation of Olympics viewers, Tirico has been the voice that has led NBC’s coverage. Tirico’s name goes alongside former Olympics hosts from the past, such as late ABC Sports broadcaster Jim McKay.

Additionally, with Tirico doing double duty, he becomes the first sports broadcaster to call a Super Bowl and host the Winter Olympics in the same year.

While watching their husband and father on NBC, Tirico’s wife and children probably feel a great sense of pride. Tirico is a consummate professional, whether he’s calling an NFL game or leading viewers through Olympics coverage.
