Life since retiring from the NFL has been a wild ride for Tom Brady. After a quiet exit into the sunset, he returned all guns blazing with his role as a broadcaster for FOX Sports. Soon after, he assumed the role of a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Now, as time passes, he is working his way into multiple other professions. The latest of which might be the WWE. Despite his interactions with Logan Paul, Mike Florio believes the real target for the seven-time Super Bowl champion could be to become president.
The Tom Brady President Narrative Is Gaining Steam
One of the greatest underdog stories in sports, Brady went from an overlooked draft prospect selected with pick 199 to the greatest player in NFL history. A seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time MVP, he redefined the sport as a whole.
As a result, he is a nearly universally beloved and respected figure for the heights he climbed on the gridiron. However, since his retirement, his portfolio has continued to expand at an exponential pace.
But his most recent foray seems to be indicating a move to the square circle. After multiple interactions with Paul, who is employed by the WWE, it looks like the New England Patriots legend is moving towards a potential match in the ring.
However, Florio of NBC Sports believes the real reason for his career switch could be far greater. The host of “Pro Football Talk” previously alleged that it could be a way for him to get the wrestling fans on his side in a potential bid to run for president.

Citing the rumors swirling during the 2024 race, the veteran analyst was confident that the chips could be falling in that direction. Now, he’s doubling down on the idea, providing even more juice to the subject.
“There’s also a chance it’s part of a broader plan,” Florio said. “Is Tom Brady trying to cozy up to the pro wrestling base when it comes time to run for office? And I did a little research this morning. The idea of Tom Brady running for president isn’t some new thing.”
Going back to the archives, he revealed, “There was an article, column, whatever we want to call it, that was written after the Buccaneers won Super Bowl 55, explaining that Brady would be an ideal presidential candidate at the appropriate time. Sam Bankman-Fried reportedly was urging Brady to run in 2024.”

A business partner of Brady’s at the time, Fried was caught in a scandal involving FTX and is now serving time in prison. But even with him out of the picture, the possibility of Brady making a run for the highest office in the country remains appealing to Florio.
“You don’t have to be a career politician. You don’t have to have any experience running anything,” Florio added. “Brady at least has experience in business, experience in sports, life experiences, and name recognition. Maybe that’s the play, and the good news would be if he ever were to run for president and win, maybe at that point Tom Brady would focus on one job and one job only.”
It remains to be seen if the possibility of him running for president, let alone winning the race, becomes a reality in due time. But for the time being, the forays into different businesses don’t seem to be slowing down for Brady.
As he continues to pull more people in his favor, it could help his chances in the long run if that becomes a potential pathway that he wants to explore.
