‘What a Life’ — Michael Irvin, Other NFL Players Attend President Donald Trump’s UFC Freedom 250 Event at White House

Michael Irvin leads a star-studded contingent of NFL players as they turn up for the historic UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House.

The White House’s South Lawn has hosted everything from state dinners to jazz concerts, but it had never seen anything like the spectacle of UFC Freedom 250. Orchestrated by President Donald Trump and UFC CEO Dana White to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Declaration of Independence and Trump’s 80th birthday, the historic fight card doubled as a star-studded, cross-industry networking event.

There were plenty of NFL stars sitting cageside at the event.

How NFL Stars Reacted to UFC Freedom 250?

Among the attendees were Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin, Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby, Los Angeles Chargers tight end David Njoku, former linebacker Will Compton, former offensive lineman Taylor Lewan, and former defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko.

Here’s what the NFL world had to say about UFC Freedom 250.

Bussin’ With The Boys’ X handle shared an image of Compton and Lewan sitting at a table with Crosby. The caption read, “The Boys. Maxx Crosby. The White House.”

In another post, Compton and Lewan could be seen shaking hands with and hugging Irvin. Lewan was also left impressed by the opening ceremony, where fighter jets from the Navy’s Blue Angels and the Air Force’s Thunderbirds performed a synchronized flyover above the South Lawn at the White House.

This took place during the singing of the “Star-Spangled Banner” during the opening ceremony for UFC Freedom 250. Lewan promptly said, “If you don’t feel American watching that clip, buddy, there is something wrong with you. That is it.”

In another post, the former Titans star wrote, “Sending this tweet from the White House. What a life. 🇺🇸” He wrote separately, “Couple of dumb football players with a Bus.”

Meanwhile, Fehoko, who also attended the event, posted on his X handle, “We are watching UFC live from the White House lawn! The troops are here, American flags everywhere. USA chants.. Donald Trump you are the greatest we’ve ever seen!! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 keep making this country great!!”

Compton shared a post where he could be seen alongside Njoku.

The historic UFC Freedom 250 main card on the White House South Lawn delivered an action-packed lineup, kicking off with a featherweight clash between Diego Lopes and Steve Garcia. Dominant middleweight prospect Bo Nickal faced veteran finisher Kyle Daukaus, followed by a lightweight battle pairing Michael Chandler against Mauricio Ruffy.

The heavy hitters took over when prospect Josh Hokit faced knockout king Derrick Lewis. Former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley then battled Aiemann Zahabi.

For the co-main event, Alex Pereira jumped to heavyweight to fight Ciryl Gane, before Ilia Topuria unified the lightweight title against Justin Gaethje.

For Irvin and the NFL contingent watching from the front row, the crossover between elite gridiron toughness and cage combat was unmistakable. As the dust settled on the South Lawn, UFC Freedom 250 proved to be a historic intersection of sports, politics, and pop culture.
