Duke freshman Dame Sarr earned widespread praise Monday night, with the CBB world giving him his flowers for his performance.

CBB World Sees Duke’s Dame Sarr as Key Player

Jeff Goodman, basketball analyst and co-founder of The Field of 68, shared his thoughts about Sarr on X on Monday after Duke defeated North Carolina State 93-64.

“When Dame Sarr is playing this way, I’m not sure Duke is gonna lose to anyone,” Goodman wrote. Sarr is coming off a big game, scoring 14 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out one assist in just 13 minutes of play.

A Nik Khamenia fan page also highlighted Sarr’s impact, writing, “‘The Dame Sarr game.’ Finally settled in on defense and the wild 3s from State stopped falling so we see separation. Like a lot of the sets against their zone, glad to see a bit more inside action as well. Need to keep the pressure on shooters and continue to pound inside.”

Zion Olojede, co-host of the “Crazie Cast” podcast, posted a clip of Sarr in action. “Dame Sarr is playing with great confidence on offense,” Olojede wrote. “This type of play can take Duke next level”.

Duke fan page DukeBlueUpdates on X also shared a video of Sarr, writing, “It was always going to take time for Sarr. It’s a joy watching his progress.”

Blue Devil Nation, run by Mark Watson, noted Sarr’s performance: “The X-Man, Dame Sarr — 14 points, 6 rebounds. He is blossoming. Duke will be hard to beat when he rolls like this.”

Sean Paul, who covers college basketball for Field of 68 Daily, also commented on Sarr’s play: “Duke is just so, so good,” Paul wrote. “They’re up 14 on the road and it doesn’t even feel like this is an A game for them so far. If Dame Sarr shoots this well, it’ll be really hard to beat Duke.”

All eyes will remain on Sarr as the Blue Devils advance toward the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, with March Madness approaching.
