With the Duke Blue Devils still sitting atop the Associated Press Top 25 Men’s Basketball Poll, attention remains on freshman guard Dame Sarr and his ability to help the team maintain its dominance.
Sarr has contributed steadily this season, averaging 5.8 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. He is shooting 39.6% from the field and 31.9% from beyond the 3-point arc.

A Nik Khamenia fan page also highlighted Sarr’s impact, writing, “‘The Dame Sarr game.’ Finally settled in on defense and the wild 3s from State stopped falling so we see separation. Like a lot of the sets against their zone, glad to see a bit more inside action as well. Need to keep the pressure on shooters and continue to pound inside.”

Blue Devil Nation, run by Mark Watson, noted Sarr’s performance: “The X-Man, Dame Sarr — 14 points, 6 rebounds. He is blossoming. Duke will be hard to beat when he rolls like this.”
Sean Paul, who covers college basketball for Field of 68 Daily, also commented on Sarr’s play: “Duke is just so, so good,” Paul wrote. “They’re up 14 on the road and it doesn’t even feel like this is an A game for them so far. If Dame Sarr shoots this well, it’ll be really hard to beat Duke.”
